A different sock . .
I didn’t finish the Circle Socks but I got as far on the second sock as I can without comparing it to the first sock and I forgot to bring that one with me so I started a pair of plain socks — something I can work on while talking and visiting. I’ve been working on this one a few days and have the heel turned and about half the foot knitted.

Ohh, likie, likie!! I just finished turning the heel on Circle Sock 2 and I’m thinking of cast on the next pair but trying to resist. 🙂 Hope you are having a blast!

LOVE your new socks! I am trying something with my second pair of socks ever….I am knitting both pairs at once…..both on separate DPNs but that way hopefully they will turn out to be the same size – unlike my FIRST PAIR OF SOCKS! 🙂

Judy, can I make a suggestion for you and all your knitting fraternity. Here in the UK, Dogs Trust are asking people to knit Dog Jackets, and donate them to shelters to keep rescue dogs warm this winter. I am sure that there will be dog rescue places in the US that are also crying out for dog jackets. There are loads of patterns on the internet. I am currently knitting one for my own rescue Terrier, but aim to knit for Dogs Trust after that. I wonder if you, or any of your knitting buddies would consider knitting a few dog coats and donating them to your enarest shelters.

This is our Opal challenge month so everything I’m using in October is Opal yarn.

I struggle with the second sock thing so rarely do I knit on my beloved double points. i think I should have joined in this challenge but alas maybe next year. I am finally down to the last few rows of my NEVER ending pair. except DD #2 said couldn’t they go to my knee….I wanted to yell REALLY.
