Several asked questions about sprouting seeds. I have ordered from Amazon but I believe My Patriot Supply has a better selection. Our local health food store has sprouting seeds also, but not as many different types as I can get online. When you go to My Patriot Supply, type in “sprout” in the search bar and you will get their sprouting seeds. One seed they do not seem to have is red clover and I like that a lot. A small amount of seeds goes a long way but if you like them and sprout often, you’ll go through them quickly.
I started the sprouts on Friday afternoon. This is what they looked like on Sunday afternoon.
If you’ve never had fresh sprouts, you can’t imagine how fresh and crunchy they taste!
These are the radish seeds. If you just glance at them, they look fuzzy, almost like they’re moldy. But you’re actually seeing little root hairs. Radish sprouts could be my favorite of all sprouts. If you closed your eyes and took a bite of the sprouts, you would be 100% sure you were eating a radish. In a salad or on a sandwich, these sprouts add so much “spice” and bite, they’re just amazing!
All the seeds are sprouting nicely. For lunch today, we will have radish sprouts on our sandwiches.

It’s a way to have the fresh taste, and vitamins, during the winter.

My favorite is the broccoli and pink lentil seeds. I love sprouts but don’t do it so much in the summer. I use them on my sandwiches and salads. I’ll start back now it’s cooling off. I get mold in the summer if I don’t use quickly but not any other time. Have no idea as to why.

Nice! How do u recommend we store them? Same as salad in a jar? Or Seal with our foodsaver bags? That’s what I am concerned about as I would never eat all of that!

I love fresh sprouts, but I’m the only one. I couldn’t eat as many as you are sprouting. I would have an intestinal issue:)!

I love radish sprouts, too! I think I may have had sunflower sprouts once, but can’t remember the seeds.
Did you know that besides taste and crunch, sprouts are nutritional powerhouses? All that “plant potential” is good for you, too!
