August Quiltathon Has Ended

My accomplishments for the August Quiltathon:

  • Finished quilting the Carpenter’s Star that I started quilting on June 1
  • Quilted the owl fabric quilt for Adalina
  • Quilted the strippy qilt for Adalina
  • Made and attached binding to both quilts for Adalina
  • Made 11 blocks for the August Quiltathon top

Hope you got a lot accomplished and I wonder why I can’t sew like that every day!

You had a productive weekend. I really appreciated this quilt-a-thon – I got a good chunk of my August colour challenge quilt done, and a quilt loaded & 1/3 done on my long arm. I needed the kick to get me back into the sewing room. Now I just hope I can keep the rhythm going and get more done this week.

For future quilt-a-thons, it would be really great to have a linky, so we can see what everyone else is up to. Or was there one and I missed it?

I binded two queen size quilts and put together three lap size quilts. Oh and cut out 420 squares for a friend. But that’s all I got done. Should have pushed myself to accomplish more, but with cooking for hubby, some things will have to wait till next week. One day at a time and one project at a time needs to be my motto.

We are moving so I couldn’t participate. Finally sold house so am back in the sewing room and made two little quilts and it felt so good. Would you say Adalina is a big part of your quilt world now not to mention your real world–loved your list of accomplishments with her name attached to almost all of them.

I got all the blocks done and them sashed and sewn together in pinks and reds for my Mom. I had to work a long day Saturday, late in the evening I wanted to sew but I wanted something that took little effort and was just for ME. I have some blocks for a quilt for our bed, the pieced ones are done (and have been for a while) the applique ones are fused but not stitched, so I appliqued the stems and leaves on all 12 blocks. Now back to the usual grind of things. The okra is calling my name. Thanks Judy, I enjoyed my first quiltathon.

I finished a mystery quilt and am on the last round of the blocks for the pattern you posted. Solid black on some and the pieced squares on the other. Am making the big size. You mentioned one time about maybe setting up a flicker account where we could post pictures once in a while. Don’t know if you have gthought about it anymore and it’s not like you all have the free time in the world either. Anyway, remembered that the other day so thought I would ask!
