Kelly Ann sent me a picture of the goodies going out to the three who won in the recent giveaway. Looks like some really fun and useful stuff in there. Maybe I should have left a comment and maybe I would have won! 🙂
Kelly Ann loves the Tucker Trimmer ruler and I’ve never even seen one but I think I might have to find one and try it out. I’ve seen the swatch buddies advertised lately . . they’re something new and look pretty useful. The needle nanny is great! I’ve had one of those — not that one but mine is lost right now. Looks like a ruler and a package of something . . I’m not even going to guess what’s in that package but it kinda looks like . . no . . that’s not quilt related . . what am I talking about? Beats me . . I shouldn’t even have mentioned it . . shouldn’t even have thought about it! Remind me to tell you about the phone call my husband got this weekend!
Anyway . . looks like fantastic gift bags should be headed your way — Becky, Crystal and Erin. They went out in today’s mail.
Would one of you please let me know what’s in that package? 🙂
And, a huge thank you to Kelly Ann for putting together the packages for me.

The Swatch Buddies are awesome! I am now using them to carry swatches of all my black and white fabrics since I am trying to collect more for an all black and white quilt. There are other ways to carry around swatches of course, but this system keeps them organized and all in one place.

I bought a Tucker Trimmer a couple years ago at IQF and I assure you it’s well used. With the smaller ruler you can square up from 1.5 to 7″ in half inch increments. I like it better than using a 6.5″ square for squaring up.

Hi, Judy.
The Tucker Trimmer was developed by Deb Tucker of Studio 180 (www.studio180design.net). They vend at many of our AQS shows and have one of the busiest and most-fun-to-visit booths. The Trimmer is only one of many great tools Deb sells–all of her own devising–and the Tuckers themselves are delightful people. Check them out, either online or in person.

The Tucker Trimmer rocks – as do all her tools. Deb Tucker has come up with some really interesting ways to make difficult blocks very easy, just by making pieces slightly bigger and trimming them down. Her Rapid Fire Hunter’s Star is amazing. She is also a teaching dynamo – I’ve taught a few classes using her tools. Nice patterns to boot. Studio180design.net

The other packet is a seam ripper but it has a rubber end on it that is supposed to brush off all the little bits so you are not picking threads off for ever

I love my Tucker Trimmers. I had the small one and saw the larger one at Paducah. I came home and had my LQS order it for me. It is 12-1/2″ and I just love it for squaring up large blocks.

I too also have all of the Tucker trimmers and rulers and I just love them. I found mine from my friend who is a rep for them and has them in her quilt shop. I use them on so many of my patterns, you should try them out. You’ll like them
