Dear Complainers Blog Readers:
The comments button has been moved to the bottom of the posts.
Judy . . the ever accommodating, tries to please everyone, blogger
Seriously, I asked you what you wanted and enough of you have let me know that you found it inconvenient to have to go to the top to hit the comment button, so Sara has now fixed it.
And . . while we’re speaking of Sara of Swoon Media, I’m still so pleased with her! She wrote me the other day to see how things were going . . if everything was working as I expected . . the other blog designers I’ve worked with were pretty much done with me when the blog went live. Then after getting an email from another faithful reader this morning about the comment button location, I wrote Sara and asked her to please move it to the bottom and in no time at all . . it was moved.
If you need a blog redone or if you need a website built or if you know someone who does, especially if you’ve check prices before and found some designers to be outrageous for small bloggers, please give Sara a chance. She’s so “off the chart” good and nice to work with!!
So, the comment button is now at the bottom. If you read this blog, you’d better leave a comment because you’re out of reasons why you don’t leave comments! 🙂
Cheryl in Iowa says
I’m reading….the new blog layout is very nice. I do like the comment button at the bottom…most times I just don’t have anything of relevance to add. Looking forward to the Quiltathon later this month.
Marky says
I didn’t complain, but I am thrilled to see the comments option back at the bottom of the page. It is most logical….you read the blog and then want to comment at the end of it. God bless Sara for being so accomodating!
Krista says
Yay! I kept forgetting I had to scroll back up for the comment button, and I’d be down into the previous post before I remembered. I love the new location 🙂
Melody says
LOL. Except I don’t like to write, remember. Judy, thanks for everything you do for us.
CathyC says
I don’t normally comment, I usually just have a good read, but this time I will 😉
Anne C. says
Thanks!
becky r says
I didn’t mind the comments at the top. Just had to press the home key and I was back at the top if I wanted to leave a comment.
Still love the new look of the blog though. Sara did a fabulous job. Made your life easier too – in respect of managing the blog anyway. We all look forward to reading your blog on a regular basis. Enjoyed the latest information related to the solar oven. Might be a good idea for the rest of us. Wouldn’t you know though today it has gotten cloudy here so it might not be a good day for cooking!
carol yonts says
Got to love it! I think my day would not be complete without of dose of patchworktimes. Keep up the great work!
Linda Buzan says
I didn’t say anything but I sure find it more convenient to have the blog button at the bottom. I really enjoy reading the blogs even if I don’t comment often.
deb says
I had to comment I thought it was so funny, I never knew that people complained about where things were on a personal blog and accepted every designers way of setting up their blog…hmmmm
I follow your posts daily thanks for your insights and stories.
NancyB says
Thank you Sara and Judy.
Marla says
Yes, your blog is simply perfect now! Would not change another thing.
terri says
What they said. 🙂
Linda Kay says
I check your blog several times daily because I don’t want to miss anything. I love your blog! Thank you for making me laugh almost every day!
AnnieO says
Making me laugh, here, Judy, as always! I admit I like the comments button at the bottom, but I wouldn’t and didn’t complain about it 🙂 Thanks to Sara, she’s swell!
Debbie Rhodes says
I know how cold that well water is…. gave me a chill thinking about it…
Ava Crotinger says
That is a nice revision to have the comment section at the end.
I’m excited to be going to my very first quilt guild meeting next week. I’m on my way to becoming a quilter! It’s time to transform all that fabric from “collectible” to completed work. There will be handmade quilts on each bed, a throw or two in the TV room, a quilted wall hanging, a table runner, some mug rugs, a quilted tote bag, …. visions of beautiful handmade quiltings danced in her head.

I am not much of a blog person but ever since I found the CTS and your blog I have kept up with yours especially as you make me smile every day. Love to read about your life “on the ranch” and the pictures are just great.. Vince looks like a real Texan in the summer months, shorts, t-shirt and boots but isn’t it great when they ‘dress-up’ , they are so handsome. My husband does the same thing, only difference is he cuts his “holey” jeans off to wear around here in east Texas with a do-rag on to soak up the sweat. please do not stop blogging.. it would make a lot of us sad..
Dora, the quilter says
Thank you for moving the comment button to the bottom. It does make it easier.
barbara says
how considerate you are. thank you. 🙂
Linda Steller says
What? Complaints about the location of the comment button? For gunny sacks! Anyway, I think the blog looks great, and I can find the comment button just about anywhere. Thanks for putting up with all the requests and keeping us entertained, Judy. ;D
pauline c. says
Yeah! I found it! Thanks Judy and Sara.

Kathy says
I didn’t complain, but I really like the comments button at the bottom. I kept forgetting it was at the top. The new blog design is great!
Elizabeth Johnson says
I read you 2 or 3 times a day. The problem with getting blogs in the email, sometimes you forget to comment. Love to read about your life!
Sandie says
Even tho I hadn’t asked, I sure do appreciate you moving the comment button back to the bottom! 😉
Mel Meister says
HUH? I’ve always had to go to the bottom of the blog to write and post a comment. It’s never changed. Strange….
Diana in TX says
Your blog is the first thing I look for in the morning when I get on the computer. Always love reading about how you and Vince are adjusting to the Texas ways!!!!! Would certainly miss it.
Vicky says
Good move! It’s better at the bottom. Sara did a wonderful job for you! She gets the gold star du jour!
Cindy from CA says
I didn’t complain (although it did irritate me to have the comment button at the top!) – but I am happy to see the comment button moved to the bottom!
Trudi says
thank you, I may even comment now 🙂
Linda says
Hi Judy
I don’t want to be labelled as a whinger but I loved that feature on your old blog where i could go to older/newer blog at the top instead of having to scroll down way past all the comments.
………just saying
Cheers
Linda
Sandy K says
I am glad you found Sara and that she is so helpful for you.
Bev says
Thank you for taking care of your readers; I didn’t complain and don’t comment that often, but this way I’m reasonably certain that I’m matching the comment with the right post.
Every morning I get my big mug of coffee, check the email, and read 5 blogs. Patchwork Times is always the last because it’s the most fun.
Becky M says
I check your blog for updates several times a day. Love a good chuckle, news about some interesting gadget, food and the chickens. Sometimes I dream of having chickens and then I just live the experience vicariously through you. Thanks Judy!
Love the blog and do prefer the comment button on the bottom.
Glenda in Florida says
OK, I’m here to leave a comment–just so you will know that I read this and appreciate your blog. I’m here checking on you several times a day. Thanks for all you do for your loyal readers 🙂
Barb in MI says
Little did I know that the positioning of the comment button was serious business 😉 Doesn’t matter to me, but leaving a comment to let you know: it works!
Carla says
I agree Sara has done a great job with redesigning your blog whether the comment bottom is at the top or bottom of the page.
Thank You, for taking the time to educate us on many subjects, entertaining us with life on the farm and keeping motivated on what ever project we are working on.
KatieQ says
I never found the comment button location a problem, but I’m glad you fixed it for those who did. This way they can put their comment where their button is. That sounded so much better in my head. Kind of like, they can put their money where their mouth is. If you get enough dopey commenters like me, you may wind up dropping the comment button completely.
Becky G says
I thought it was so nice of you to ask us for feedback on your new format… You really do care about us! I didn’t mention @ having the comment section at the end… There is good logic for either placement, but i read the comments on your blog (some of your readers are as funny as you & Vince can be.). So for me your new placement is the most efficient. I think you really are funny & interesting & I love your blog. Plus you live a riotous Friday night life with your grasshopper stomp & the resulting dessert for the girls (& roosters.)
Doe in Mi says
Thank you, Judy.
Laurel from Iowa says
Love the new look of the blog. Well done, Sara and Judy! Love reading about the grasshopper stomp – does Vince ever read your blog? He has bought more tables in the last week than we have purchased in 31 years of marriage! Lol!
susan r says
I love the look of your blog now – very easy on the eyes. To me it makes more sense to have the comment button on the bottom of the post but is not earth shattering if it is not. Since you often post a few times inbetween my readings, I would like to see the next and previous posts buttons on the top of the page since that is where I end up when I finish reading a few posts in a row. But again – no big thing – and it would never cause to to stop reading your blog. I hope you don’t take this as a complaint – I am only making a “comment” of “my opinion”!
Chris Miller at the Resort says
Oh good! I’m not crazy! I went to make a comment yesterday and couldn’t find the comment button at the top. I was so sure I’d seen it there, and now it was at the bottom. Whew!! The “mystery” is solved and I don’t have to check myself in some where.
WiAmy says
It worked at the top, but really I do prefer it at the bottom! Most times I like to read the post and then decide what to write–so it is just easier to post at the bottom where I already am rather than having to scroll back up to the top to post. Thanks!
carol c says
your blog is so important to me now-its better than sliced bread
Anita says
The ‘new’ blog looks good and navigates well.
Lee says
I didn’t complain, but I am happy you moved it to the bottom 🙂 Thank you…and thank Sara too.
Carol says
Thanks Judy and Sara for all your hard work. Love the new format and if a feature’s in a different spot, I’ll adjust! I’ll figure it out eventually.
Karla says
love love the new blog, and the story about catching the grasshoppers yuck! I know when I lived out in the country I enjoyed the peacefulness the most. I am so glad you are happy if only Chad and Nicole would move a little closer wouldn’t it be just perfect? I do like the block for this month and am looking forward to getting my sewing desk put up (maybe today if I am lucky) and getting to do my sewing again.
