Why do I struggle so much when using yarn from the stash? I used to do that with fabric but then I learned that if I use my very favorite fabric, that’s ok . . I can buy something else that I like better. I’m not there yet with my yarn stash. When trying to decide what yarns to use for the West Mystery, I kept picking up that lime. Do you know how I got that yarn? Last year during Camp Loopy when we were all knitting our fingers to the bones trying to win a skein of Wollmeise . . the prize for getting all three projects done in 2011, a blogging friend won that lime green yarn and knew I would like it and sent it to me. She sent me Wollmeise! And she wasn’t the only one. Another blogging friend send me Wollmeise that I needed to make a shawl that is next on the agenda after Camp Loopy and after this mystery.
But, that’s how the lime got into my stash. I couldn’t use it for a mystery! So, I dug through the yarn and came up with these two. Both are Wollmeise Twin.
The green is Pesto and it’s actually the yarn I won from Camp Loopy in 2011 and the gold/tan is Jeton. After taking their picture, I stuck the yarn over on the quilt rack and look how perfectly they match this quilt.
Perfect match, huh? Guess these are the colors I was meant to use! 🙂
Maybe my first clue will be in my email when I get up in the morning!

Of course those of us in Wisconsin are going to approve of your color choice because it’s close to Green Bay Packer colors!

What good friends you have sending you Wollemeise. I’m working hard to finish my Camp Loopy project 2. I got clue 1 today from SW MKAL and will cast on this weekend. See you on Ravelry ( stashmaven)
