Last night I finished a book. It was a good, love story . . I’ll do a review of it later. Not too long ago, I wrote about our joint Kindle account and all the crazy titles that I find in there. So, it’s past my bedtime but I need to read for a little while before going to sleep so I was on the Amazon account, looking to see what I could download. Since getting the new Kindle, I haven’t had the wifi turned on much so most of my newer titles aren’t in there yet.
Vince is sound asleep. Speck is in the chair next to me sleeping. I’m casually going through the list of books in our account and trying to decide what I want to read next. I find this!
Huh? Screwed Up People? Living Successfully with Screwed-Up People? I look around this house. Only two of us live here. It doesn’t say “Working Successfully with Screwed-Up People” or “Shopping with Screwed-Up People” . . it says Living with Screwed-Up People!
There are two ways to look at this. (1) He thinks I’m screwed up or (2) He knows he’s screwed up and he thinks I should read this book. Somehow, I’m thinking it’s Option #1.
He’s already asleep. Do I wake him up and have a discussion about this? Not a good idea. I’m not that screwed up!
Always trying to be the optimistic one, I thought . . maybe I ordered the book. Maybe someone told me it was a funny book and I ordered it so I looked at the list again.
Look at those titles! I can assure you that not a single book on this list is of interest to me except maybe “Living Successfully with Screwed-Up People” because if he thinks I’m screwed up . . well, he’s really screwed up!
I think tonight is a good night to go to bed reading a magazine and forget about downloading something for the Kindle.
Do you think I’m screwed up? Wait . . don’t answer that. I’ll just go out in the morning and ask the chickens what they think!

I think Vince just put that title there to mess with your mind when you look at the Kindle list in the middle of the night when he’s asleep. It’s a test that’s all — AND you passed it. How was that magazine?? 🙂

Eeeeeuuuwwwwwww…. I know I’d be bothered by it, but I’m very sensitive. I would bring it up to him, if just to satisfy my curiosity.
The EA Solitare is a card game or suite of card games.
You’re not curious about the “Personal credibility” book? I’d be raising an eyebrow about that one, too.

That is too funny! Maybe he downloaded it as a benefit for both of you to read- my hubby would say something like this-“well we run across people who are not all there as we get older we see it more and more (not us!) lol, and this is something we might enjoy!” the manly sales pitch! I now am going to go look at that book on my kindle! Lol!
Fifty Shades of Gray series Judy download those!

I think that one was free a week or so back…

Another possibility after reading some of the other titles is that “living” isn’t specific to his personal household, but maybe all folks to whom he’s in contact, as in his job or other arenas. I don’t think you’re screwed up, I think you’re a whole lotta fun….and you certainly write a great blog!

I’m almost betting that it was a freebie and he downloaded it just because it was free……….

I gotta tell you there was a reason for this posting!! I read it, went to Amazon, read the reviews, ordered it through my library, my step-daughter was here, picked it up and started reading it. She is in a tumultuous relationship with a young son, not knowing whether to stay or leave. She took it home and has been reading and and talking with her dad and me about how it is the perfect book for her to read at this time. She’s gotten lots of insight into her life and how to deal with issues in the relationship. Sooo……thank you!!!
