Tuesday night I was trying to track a package online and realized the internet wasn’t working. Here it is Thursday afternoon and we still have no internet. The folks at our internet provider are nice but as of now, they still don’t have a clue what’s wrong. A whole tower is not working so I’m definitely not the only one without internet. I thought I could just wait it out but I can’t. I’m at the library using their internet.
I’ve always said I could be a hermit and Vince says I cannot be a hermit because I cannot live without the internet. I know I could live without the internet (and be a hermit) but I don’t want to (live without the internet!)
It’s amazing how many times I’ve wanted to look up something and can’t because . . I don’t have the internet!
I started my Camp Loopy Project 2 and quickly realized that part of the instructions were M1L and M1R and I didn’t have a clue how to do that.
I dug through my stash of magazines and found this one and quickly flipped to the general instructions but nowhere was M1L or M1R mentioned. I grabbed my big book of knitting stitches and nothing was mentioned in there. So I went back to the magazine, thinking maybe one of the individual patterns had M1L and M1R instructions and sure enough, I found this. Just what I needed.
Wait til you see how much progress I’ve made on my capelet! It’s amazing how much I can get done when it’s too hot to work outside and there’s no internet distraction! I still want the internet back though.

You’re missing us? Think about US missing YOU. I’ve been fractious all day and hubby and I have had two stupid arguments and I’m blaming it on no listings from Judy L. Hope it gets fixed soon. Hubby is calling me “Cranky Pants”.

I’m always saying the same thing about being a hermit. Can’t we still be hermits…with Internet…and UPS delivery? I tell people I am a social hermit. Fits me to a T. Hope you’re back up and running soon – you are missed.

Thank heaven for libraries and their Internet. Even when our phone co.’s Internet goes out we’re still on because we are with a wireless provider. I know they have issue’s too, but the longest we’ve ever been out is about 15 min. while those who can only get DSL from the phone co. have been out for days at a time. Hope you get yours back soon.

I downloaded 2 apps for my iPod: Vogue Knitting and Knittingn Help. They are great resources and I refer to them all the time.

Yes!! The apps are non-internet dependent! They both are good apps, but I think KnittingHelp is better. It has videos divided into categories: inc, dec, casting on, joining, etc. It’s like having a knitting manual in your purse.
