This recipe from Taste of Home is so good! My mom had made a similar recipe and was telling me about it and I saw this one and made it. Since there’s just two of us here, I didn’t want to dig out the trifle bowl and take up so much room in the fridge so I put it in two storage type containers and vacuum sealed a third of it in a quart jar, thinking that might keep it longer, though I don’t think it will be around long enough to worry about.
How could anything with sweetened condensed milk, whipped cream, fresh raspberries and angel food cake not be absolutely delicious? This is definitely a recipe we’ll save and it would work great with other fruit too. I know strawberries and blueberries would work but so would peaches! Yum!
And, please . . don’t anyone ask about Weight Watchers. We need to get back on it but right now . . we’re not thinking too much about points.

It sounds delicious! So does the peach version, but it would take me forever to work off those calories! No, I’m not dieting, but I’ve cut back on eating desserts. I’ll just have to drool over the photos!

There is nothing quite as delicious as raspberries…. in anything (or just a bowl of them). My very favorite fruit.

Looks fabulous! Being diabetic, I don’t eat anything like that anymore. But, my raspberries-I have them daily for breakfast. We are off for 5 weeks in Lake Tahoe bright and early tomorrow morning. Long drive…but worth it to be in a beautiful place, with lots of friends and mainly, out of this CA desert heat! I’ll be following you!

Looks great.

The thought of all that yummy-ness makes my mouth water. As for losing weight, I swear the more I think about it the less likely it’s going to happen. I keep fighting the same few pounds so I never make any real progress.

I make a low fat version of this with fruit, angel food cake, low fat vanilla pudding, and lite cool whip. I’m sure it is not as good as your recipe but it tastes awfully good when you cant have all the sugar this recipe calls for. For the 4th of July I make it with blueberries and strawberries. It looks very patriotic in the trifle bowl.

Oooo. That looks so good. Angelfood cake is one of the lowest calorie cakes there is, and anyone would would give you crap about WW is just plain rude. Even WW lets you eat treats!

I make this with strawberries and I found it in a Paula Deen cookbook. She calls it Strawberry Delight and it really is! I have made it many times because you can make it the night before and put it in the fridge.
