yep i do! i counted up last night and i have 6 yards available for the top, not including the white sashing. so it looks like i’ll be cutting lots and lots of strips today and sewing them together.
This will be my first time using McKenna Ryan’s fabrics. I’ve got an extra roll of white strips comming, just in case i don’t have enough in my stash. you can never have too much white on hand!
Plans–are you kidding. It’s our tri-annual Guild Quilting Show this weekend. It is smashing; back for a second round today. No prizes yet for me, but I bid on and won a quilt made by one of your bloggers and a good friend. Great show. Secondly it is finally planting season so out to the nurseries. That said, tom. looks good for at least picking out fabric. Love the quilt.
I think I am going to HAVE to make the Sweet Treat Quilt! LOL. I love the little border too!
Happy Cinco de Mayo! You should be able to find some good Mexican food in Texas. So far I haven’t found any Mexican restaurants in VA to compare with those that I enjoyed in CA!
Yes!! I’ve got to get a binding on an overdue quilt for my grandson, and I’d like to get a quilted pillow done for my mom (to go with a quilt I gave her years ago — 12 blocks, 12 grandchildren … then one of my sisters when and had another baby) and finish it before she leaves next week. So many projects, so little time! Your sweet treat blocks look great! 🙂

Actually did get a little sewing in last night, not on sweet treats tho. Am going to play along tho, so hope to get started sometime this weekend. DH flies back to TX today so not sure how much I will get done. We have a great little Mexican resturant in Taylor, more Mexican than Tex-Mex. Maybe we can go there for dinner tonight.
Not sure if I will get any sewing done today but will be packing for a retreat that starts tomorrow afternoon – almost four glorious days of sewing maching bonding!!!!!!!!!

Making some blocks today! If I use 2.5″ strips will that throw off how the quilt fits together? It’s early so my math skills haven’t woken up yet lol. Amie :o)

Would love to spend the weekend sewing, but it is not to be for me. Will spend at least half the day with dh at the rehab unit to help with his physical therapy. Hip replacement is not easy at his age. But its coming along ok. they say he is actually ahead of schedule for being back on his feet, so maybe soon I can spend some time sewing.
