All this negative talk takes away some of the fun of quilting. This is how I feel about it all!
Speck, like all dachshunds, loves to be completely covered up. I wonder if he even knows his back side is completely exposed. I could make an analogy here but I won’t! 🙂
Then after a while I guess he wasn’t sure what I was doing so he turned himself around.
But, then I went from the computer to the sewing machine so he had to again change positions in order to see what I was doing.
He’s such a good dog. It’s nice to be loved! 🙂

Cute pics. How we love our pets! I’ve had to make up the bed before with my cat under cover and he wouldn’t come out AND he stayed there half the day under the cover in the middle of the bed.
On the other ongoing discussions of copyright..what a headache. My quilt buddies speak of JLMAALMQ! It’s our expression. “Just leave me alone and let me QUILT”.

My little poodle Tag has always done the same having to follow me everywhere… since the name Tag a long. But the past couple weeks he has had some kind of injury to his neck… 2 vet bills so far and still isn’t himself… he turns 8 next week. Guess this dog owner finally found out why you should not let them get up on back of couch… now trying to make him not do it is really hard. Watching a dog with a stiff neck is not funny… breaking my heart everyday.

Aw, Debbie, I’m sorry about your little poodle. That’s an adorable name! I also have a toy poodle who follows me everywhere. He’s almost 15 years old, and I hate to think of the time when I won’t have him. I hope your little guy gets better soon.

My big dogs are jealous of Speck. They are banned from the sewing room and they don’t have their own quilt.
Diann Smith– I love it! JLMAALMQ! 🙂

I agree with Speck. He’s a smart dog. I wish that I could go burrow in a quilt and forget about life for a few hours.o
I agree that we have to have a positive outlook and to not cut our LQS at the knees. I need them to service my machine.
More people need to soar with the eagles rather than running with the turkeys ( no offense to wild turkeys.)
Take care my blog land friend.

Are you doing the UFO Challenge number today? Last month you said it would be the last day of the month. Waiting patiently! Love following along with them.

Well, whenever we take a stand on anything, we leave our backside slightly exposed! LOL You’re right though – we do need to take a stand. It is raining so hard here in Oregon (yesterday too) that I think the best idea is to get back in bed and pull those blankies back over my head. Everything is flooding!

our dogs ( a husky and a bassett hound) both hate to be covered up… I can’t remember if my mom’s mini dachsund did that or not. I do remember her laying up against the baseboard heating unit and almost branding the design into her belly!

Ah, seeking solace under the comfort of a quilt…how ironic in this situation!
Linda in NE says
Yep, Speck’s got the right idea…snuggled under a quilt is the place to be.
Recent posts on quilt blogs remind me of an old Chinese curse, “May you live in interesting times”.

That’s like our Jazzy, a Min Pin, she loves her cover! Speck is a smart dude to stay covered up and keep an eye on you too.

When Tilly was little she would snuggle under quilts, now she’s happy to just lay on them. Same with Tiki! Since my sewing room is so cluttered right now, they lay right outside the door. I can’t get past them without them knowing it. When tilly was a pup she would occassionaly start my machine or accidently pull the plug . Not good! But she would be literally underfoot! Both are very good thread catchers however!

sure do miss our Max. Had to put sleep last year. He was with us and bless us for 15 years. He was a black and tan

I know how loving they are we had a blackand tan dauxie but had to put him to sleep last year. We had him 16 years and really miss him now. Would like to find another to love.
