This morning I woke up wanting to knit. Those blue socks . . they’re really bugging me. I want to finish them so I can start something else but I’m not enjoying knitting them so I don’t finish them. I’m going to get back to knitting on them as soon as I finish this post. I thought about sitting and knitting for an hour this morning before going to the sewing room but then decided to go sew and stop sewing early and come back to the house and knit.
So, off to the sewing room I went. I sewed all the half square triangles and triangles into the rows for the baskets.
My goal was to get 5 blocks made and then I could go knit. About the time I had convinced myself to stick with the sewing, the phone in the sewing room rang and it was the mail lady and she had a package so I ran down to the gate to meet her and sure enough, it was from The Loopy Ewe.
I opened the box, fondled the yarn and convinced myself to get those 5 blocks finished. Before I knew it, I had all 17 of them done!
How’s that for sticking with the plan? Now I’m going to knit til bed time and tomorrow . . I may sit in the recliner and knit all day if it means getting that blue sock finished. Or, I may go sew. Who knows what I’ll decide when I wake up in the morning. One thing for sure, it’s really nice to be able to wake up and do something that I love doing . . whether that might be knitting or sewing!
I love the second one over from the right AND the lime green!! Almost makes me want to pick up the knitting needles again but I can’t just yet. Good job getting the blocks done! I am slowly working back up to sewing on the machine, it’s been on hold since I am recovering from the c-section. But I finally broke down and did some sewing yesterday and no ill effects today so I am going to do a little more tonight….
You are WONDER WOMAN without a doubt. I was at a retreat for 4 days and I don’t think I got done what you did in one half day!!!

Oooo! Are those three skeins, one in from the left the Regia yarn in Kaffe Fasset colors? They look wonderful. I quilted today, took the dog for a long walk in the beautiful sunshine, and sewed all my HSTs. Now I have to go cut them apart!

Great progress today on the quilt! The chicks are just adorable too.
Your new yarn order is just lovely. Yum! Have you checked out Heather Mulder Peterson’s site lately – Trends and Traditions? She has an amazingly beautiful sweater…again. It is gorgeous!
knit, sew, sew, knit…and yarn…fabric…What a wonderful world! =)
Judy, Today you would not have liked our weather here in MO. About 2:30am a loud thunderstorm came through, but before 7:30am I had rain, sleet, some more sleet, then snow and some more sleet. But by noon the sun came out and the temps got in the low 40″s with the sun shining. Crazy weather today, but I did get to sew for part of it. Love your baskets and yarn.

OMG I long for your life – I get two days a week to do what I want -after work the other 5 i’m too tired to do anything but net surf and get ideas for more quilts. the baskets look lovely.
oh yea, those Kaffe Fasset colors! no wonder my first thought was to pull matching fabric for a quilt, LOL (but seriously, that would be a fabulous idea.)
love that lime green! it looks so much like cool, soft lime sherbert.
