Thank goodness I got three pairs of socks finished in January or I’d be behind already! Even having an extra day in February didn’t help me.
The pattern for these socks is the Celtic Twist Cable pattern and it just isn’t a pattern I should have tried when my middle finger on my right hand had 6 or 7 stitches. The yarn is Lorna’s Laces and it’s a narrower yarn than most so it took forever. My tension is off and I need to sit down for a few nights and persevere through it and get these finished. They were intended to be a gift but that’s not going to happen.
The next ones I start will be for the gift but I’m not starting them til I get the blue socks finished! Maybe I need some kind of blog reporting to keep me accountable with my knitting.

Those are going to be great socks! As far as I’m concerned, knitting is finished when it’s finished and you shouldn’t feel guilty about when or if you get projects done. It’s different than quilting where you have a machine to speed things up!

They look so soft and comfortable. Great job.

Hi!
I was just wondering what is your favorite yarn to use for socks? I ordered some Lorna Laces yarn and it is beautiful but I want a little thicker/heavier sock.
I follow your blog every day and I am so happy for you in your new home.

Mary, it all depends on so much. I’ll send you an email and we’ll talk about it.

I love the pattern. I took the sock pledge but have only managed to make a couple of pairs of baby socks–I am new to the sock world. I was trying to figure out how to be accountable for my yarn stash and purchases. It seems so much easier to “hide” aka store yarn. I must figure out a way to catalogue what I have.
PS thank you for introducing me to Eat Sleep Knit and the Loopy Ewe. I just finished my 1st quarter challenge.

Love that shade of blue and that interwoven cable is fantastic!
