Today’s instructions are for the partial quarter square triangle. The cutting instructions given below give you a piece that’s real close to the perfect size. I prefer to cut my pieces just a tad larger so I can square up the piece. Do it however you like. This is the piece you will be making.
For the red and blue triangles, cut 20 squares that are 3-1/4″. Cut these on the diagonal twice to yield 80 triangles.
For the gold triangles, cut 40 squares that are 2-7/8″. Cut these on the diagonal once to yield 80 triangles.
Make 80. They should measure 2-1/2″ unfinished. Square up if needed.

Just read and printed off the directions for Pick a Pinwheel – Part 3. All the directions state to cut for 80 triangles, but then the final row says to make only 8 blocks. Is this right or should we be making 80 blocks?
TIA

Judy…should the last paragraph start with make 80 instead of make 8? Just wondering. Thanks for the great step-by-step pattern!

Thank you for politics-free blog entries and Face Book comments. I just have to keep putting FB “friends” on hide because I don’t want to read about politics, especially rude comments and bad language. You are one of my “keepers”! Thanks for the work that you do on your patterns, photos, blog entries, etc. Feel free to delete my comment since it has little to do with your post.

I feel your pain Sandra! I have just gotten to a point that I have started deleting rather than hiding! I have only had ONE person ask me why I deleted them and I told them “straight up” why! 🙂

Thank you for all of your informative posts! I have (only) 3 unfinished projects but have just been putting them off and putting them off. You have given me the “quilting bug” again! 🙂
