Yesterday I was out in the sewing room a little after 7. I sewed til Vince came home for lunch, then went back out and sewed some more. I was working on getting the Pick a Pinwheel blocks made and then I’ll set them all together at the retreat next week.
About 3 p.m. I realized I wasn’t going to have any “usage” to report on my stash report Sunday so I grabbed a UFO, pieced together a backing and loaded it on the longarm.
When Vince got home from work, he said “Do you live out here? Pretty much! I told him I needed to make one more pass with the longarm and I’d be finished so he took Speck to the house and I finished the quilt.
This will be another QOV. It’s probably going to be several more weeks before I can do binding but I’ll definitely have a stack of them to bind, won’t I?

What a nice bright and cheerful quilt! I like it! This must have been an old UFO because I don’t remember seeing you making the blocks for it. It’s funny how that reporting “stash report” helps us get our rears in gear!! 🙂

I don’t think it’s over 2 years old. I made it the same time I made the last one because I was using up all that black/white dot.

Need a name for this quilt? The very first thing that jumped out at me is the 90 degree turn arrow right near the center made from two very similar colored pieces of fabric. I would have to call this quilt “Turn the Corner”. What an interesting way to use so many colors! Cinda

Maybe binding would be a good retreat project.

Too funny!! Glad you are able to quilt with your finger! AND enjoy your quilting room – that is awesome!
JudyL says
Using the longarm is about the only thing I can do well right now. I still can’t even sign my name!
Pam says
Lucky that shopping online doesn’t require a signature!
The bookcase in the corner–is that where you are going to stack the to-be-quilted tops?

Nice quilt Judy. Hope you all have a blast at the Retreat. Wish I could help you with your binding. I love to bind. Sandi

Oh, I love the bright colors and design. Some soldier will love this quilt. Once again you’ve created a real winner!
Sharon Spingler says
I love this one. Does it have a name?
pdudgeon says
how about “Right Face, Left Face” to go along with the military theme and the directional arrows.
JudyL says
I don’t usually worry about naming them unless I do a pattern for them. I wasn’t crazy about this one but now that I see it quilted, I may use some of my scraps and make another one.

I really like this top. It’s not too busy but very colorful. I’m just beginning to longarm quilt. What is the name of this panto and where can I find it. It seems so versitile.
Mrs. Goodneedle says
Love, love, love it! What’s the name of that pantograph? It’s perfect!
