This morning my plan was to get back to piecing Pick a Pinwheel but it’s so much easier to quilt than to piece right now. I decided to load It’s a Wrap and then get back to piecing and but once I got it loaded, I wanted to get started quilting and then once I started quilting, I didn’t want to stop!
This quilt is 80″ x 90″ so it’s a bit bigger than I’ve been quilting but at least it’s done.
All afternoon I wanted to take a nap and never got around to it but at least someone is sleeping!
Bless his heart! He thinks he’s all wrapped up in a quilt. It’s only a piece of fabric and besides . . half of him isn’t wrapped up at all! 🙂

Isn’t that funny, my dog LOVES to lay all over my fabric if I happen to leave in on the floor. Nevermind he has his own very nice blanket…

How many left to quilt?

You are doing great with the quilting considering you have a bad finger. I agree with Karen, you must love your sewing room.

The Square Spiral panto looks great on everything doesn’t it? I love it….and it goes quickly.
It really doesn’t take much to make Speck happy does it?

Easier to quilt than piece? You must be the only person I’ve heard say they prefer quilting to piecing! Given the number of tops I have been given for Project Linus, most people like piecing best!

Whoops! I didn’t realise my computer was so slow and got impatient. Must be the cold.

i enlarged the pic just to see the quilting, and you’re right! that square spiral does look really nice on quilts. Great job, Judy!
i managed to find and order that pattern online when you first showed it, and it’s still waiting for some great fabrics—-maybe a mixture of dots and tone-on-tones–who knows…

Go with the flow. Maybe having your finger out of commission is the universe helping you make a dent in the tops you have that need quilting? Look at this as an opportunity to get a lot of quilting done, because piecing will always be waiting for when you are 100%.

p.s.
I bought the square spiral panto last year after seeing it on one of your quilts. My mom now thinks it’s the best thing ever. And– we get lots of compliments on it from others.
