Did you get all your star centers made? Today I’ll make it easy for you so you can get caught up before the next step is posted on Monday.
Each block requires two half square triangles, using the background fabric and the colored fabric. These squares will be 3″ unfinished or 2-1/2″ finished. If you have an orange center in your star, these half square triangles will be orange/background fabric. If you star center is green, these half square triangles will be green/background fabric.
You should have a total of 36 half square triangles when you’re finished with this step.

My stars are finished and I was expecting a bigger step for the weekend, but I suppose this will give me more time to clean the bathroom instead…bleh! Thanks for such great directions for what is going to be an awesome quilt!

I won’t be caught up yet unless I lock the door, turn off the phone etc. Can’t do that however. But an easy part like this one will certainly help! thanks again.

This makes half square triangles really easy, and it’s free!

Yes, well not completely finished with all those blocks just yet but I do have half cut out and 7 of them sewn together. So I am doing good. I will most likely finish this part this afternoon and be ready for the next tomorrow. It took me a while to figure the math for the geese but I finally mastered it. Thanks for that, I learned something new, you did give me a challenge. I love this block and I am using up more scrap fabric. That is a good thing!!
