The Quilt on the Bed

The quilt on my bed in the photos yesterday caught the attention of some of you.  It’s Starlight Path-

from Nine Patch Extravaganza.  It was my first book and some of my favorite patterns are in there.

The books do not come spiral bound.  I get the ones bound that I travel with so it’s each for folks to look through them. The quilt that’s in the book was made by Nancy Miller and she used a beautiful turquoise where I used red in the quilt on the bed.

I made that quilt using chocolate brown, a turquoise/brown toile and cream. It’s one of my absolutely most favorite quilts. I just changed the border to include some applique and more flying geese.

lol, thanks so much for finding this Judy! the quilt really caught my eye yesterday and so i spent the afternoon just doodling and figuring out how to make it. Now that i know what the pattern pieces are supposed to measure, it will be fun to go back and see how close i came to the real thing.
I’m definitely gonna have to make this quilt.

That’s clever…having them spiral bound. Do you take them someplace special to do it, Judy? 🙂

Love that quilt. Still planning on doing it again in another colorway for my daughter. It was such an easy pattern.

I love that one too! It’s always amazing how different colors change the same quilt.

I prefer your red to the teal, I also have that book and have spent many happy hours poring over the patterns but did not recognize your quilt as one of them. Ditto what AnnoeO said!
