Yesterday I began sewing on the blocks for the “It’s a Wrap” top. The pattern, for those who have asked, is “It’s a Wrap” by Sandy Gervais. I love her fabric — everything she designs! I placed a few blocks on the fabric I had originally chosen for the sashing fabric (top) and then placed a few blocks on another fabric (bottom). I think the top fabric is too light and the bottom fabric is just right! It should be no surprise that the just right fabric is Dimples by Andover. I love that fabric.
I got the blocks all sashed and the top sewn together. It needs a border but I’m not real sure what I’m going to do for the border. I have a few pieces left over from the jelly rolls I used and I have a couple of charm packs but they’re at the rental and I’m at the new house so I’ll have to grab all that when I go back over there.
For now, the top is done and it feels good to have this old UFO getting close to being done. Todayy I’ll work on the Bears in the Farmhouse top. Maybe I’ll also make Christmas cookies . . or biscotti or chocolate fudge or cinnamon rolls! 🙂

Oh yum! Can I come visit? 🙂 The top is lovely. I can’t wait to see what you decide to do for borders.

Very nice quilt, so cheerful. I, too, love the dimples fabric. It is my go to fabric when nothing else works.

Boscotti!!!!! The house is for sale next door. I think you need a second house. I will let you use “George” for Boscotti.

Your title said “wrap top” and I’m thinking….. what shawl did she get finished knitting! Yes, on this rainy day here I have knitted shawls on the brain.
Cute quilt! And I vote for biscotti! LOVE that stuff!

Sewing & baking…..good for the soul!
Would you believe the Village Clerk in the office next to mine got a lovely plate of fudge as a gift and didn’t even save me a piece to taste? Just no Christmas spirit there…..or maybe she’s just saving me from myself. hehe

I agree with you on the Dimples–it looks just right. I love that fabric too, and all the fabrics that Sandy Gervais designs. She uses a color pallette that always attracts me (plenty of lime green, right?) The top looks just great!
