The last place I ever expected to find a Thai restaurant was in our little town. Over the weekend, Chad told me that we have a Thai restaurant and that he had heard it was really good. Yesterday we decided to check it out and the food, and especially the service were excellent.
We started with spring rolls:
Everything we had was yummy and I can hardly wait to go back.
You’ve figured out by now how much I like Nicole. Isn’t she a cutie? She’s the type girl that if you’re around her, no matter how down or sad you are, you can’t help but smile with Nicole around. Before I ever met her, the first thing Chad told me about her is that she always has a smile on her face, and she does. She has the funniest facial expressions. Sometimes when she’s talking, even about something serious, I’ll bite my lip to keep from laughing and she says “WHAT?” and all I can say is “you’re so funny!” I’ve mentioned my niece’s youngest daughter, Payton. I love that child and she’s so funny to talk to – mainly because of her facial expressions. Any time I watch Nicole talk, I think of Payton. If appearance counts for anything, I’d say Nicole enjoys life and anyone around her can’t help but enjoy themselves.
I was telling Vince last night about the Thai restaurant and how good it is and he was definitely joking when he said “Maybe I’ll just come back and we’ll stay there!” No way Mister! Chad has his own place and it’s just you and me now. We are on our way to having a house we love . . I am ready to move on to Texas!

LOL–Judy–you’ve influenced me to try Thai food and Penzey’s spices!

We have two Thai restaurants here. My Quilt Buddy used to work at one and we go eat there often on a break from Quilting. I don’t care for the extra spicy, but I like most of it. Gotta eat my Trees (Broccoli).

Judy, that dish sitting in front of Nicole is huge. It looks wonderful. Is it one serving for one person and what is it? Now I’m hungry!

Yumm. Makes me want to get back in my kitchen…I tried a “yakisoba” recipe recently that was more like Thai (kind of spicy). The two nearest Thai restaurants here? One doesn’t look clean to me (my husband finally stopped suggesting it), and the other has good food and surroundings, but very poor service.
At least Chad & Nicole have a good place to go!

I have never had Thai food but may have to try it. Nicole looks like a cute and sensible gal. Doesn’t it make it easier to leave Chad when he has a great apartment and a girlfriend his mom approves of? When our kids are happy, it makes our heart sing. So glad everything is working out for you, Judy.

Blogs need a “like” button! LOL. It’s really good to see things are working out. : )

weird how you first found a good place to eat within 10 days of leaving — too bad! we had a nice Thai place too but it went out of business quickly – we miss it.

Muscatine, IA, where my company is headquartered (and close to where I grew up) has a wonderful, gormet Thai restaurant just a block from my corporate office. It’s a larger small town of about 20,000 people, but it’s still, by far, the best restaurant in town. I always go there at least once when I’m back for business because I don’t want it to go out of business. Not that my 5 times a year will make any difference! Some of their curry dishes just make my mouth so happy!

Mmm, love Thai food!

Don’t ask me what made me think of this, considering this blog is about Thai food, but did you make a copy of all your favorite recipes for Chad? I’m only wondering because my son never asked before he moved out, but after, he was calling me constantly asking for the recipe for this and that. Of course, it’s not all bad, at least you get to keep in contact with your kids! The funniest part is, Chad may not ask for lures for Christmas, but a pressure cooker!

Nicole looks like a real sweetie! As for the Thai food, I am not a very adventurous eater, so I’d probably not be happy with that, but…..it sure is presented nicely and the portions look huge!

We have Thai restaurants around Raleigh – but I need some recommendations. When I ask a waiter what he recommends I usually don’t like it when I get it – so I stopped asking. Now I ask what dish they sell the most of. Works better – Thansk from Judy C

Nicole is a cutie! I remember a couple of my son’s girlfriends and how much I loved them. It sure broke my heart when they broke up. I ran into one of them not long ago and told her that I had hoped she would be my daughter in law and she told me she had hoped so too. I told her that he is still free. Go after him! LOL
