Staying on track with “The List”, the pink carpenter’s star is now quilted. I do love this quilt! The colors are so happy. The batting is Warm Blend, it was quilted with the panto, Fay Feathers, with a pale pink thread in both top and bobbin.
The blue top is pieced.
The colors don’t make me giggle but it will be great for a boy whose favorite color is blue. If you look closely, you can see in the outer border that I didn’t have enough of the dark blue to make the border so I found another dark blue and didn’t have enough of that one either so I used both. It looks fine and is a great way to use up those leftover pieces of fabric.
The backing is dog fabric and a green that I am happy to have used up. It’s a Moda fabric but I haven’t ever been thrilled with it so now it’s mostly gone.
The blue one is on the longarm now and the quilting will be done by noon.

I think they both look great and any kiddo would be happy to snuggle up in them. I love how you did the blue border. Very clever. 😉 Way to make a dent in the stash!

Using two different dark blues in the border is a design element, not an “oops”!
