Yay! I can cast on my camp project.
After spending hours trying to decide which two colors to use, I figured I was safe with light gray and dark gray but the truth is . . the gray is kind of a greenish gray and not what I would have chosen had I been seeing this yarn in person. It will work and it’s all I have that can be used towards this project so I’m using it.
For anyone familiar with the pattern, don’t panic — I have another skein of the darker yarn but got tired of winding so I’ll wind it in the next day or so.
I’ll be sitting in the recliner knitting if anyone needs me! 🙂

Enjoy knitting today! I’m still waiting for my Camp Loopy yarn to arrive. Hopefully it will arrive today so that I can cast on soon!

Looks like fun. Hopefully I can get my yarn today or tomorrow – decided to GO INTO A SHOP because I just couldn’t decide online what colors I wanted! 🙂
I love the grays!!

No fair – I’m going to have to kick you out of the tent for being able to knit while I’m at work! 🙂 I did make use of the bus ride to work and got started on mine. Okay – I won’t kick you out since you’re project is way bigger than mine. Tent / cabin – who am I kidding – we both know that we have rooms in the hotel! 😉

Hey Judy,
I need help quick with sock yarn choice because first I don’t know much about yarn and I’m going on a long vacation and must have knitting for the ride. I’ll have to order because no shops close to me. I want a good, nice, soft, durable, etc yarn, not toooo expensive. Thanks for any help and information you can give.

I like the colors you chose. I ended up caving yesterday, bought the pattern and ordered yarn. I’m doing grey with blue-green as the accent color (a light blue-green for the stripes and darker blue-green for the ruffle). The yarn is shipping today so should be here by Saturday. I can’t wait to cast on!

I’m behind on my sock knitting and you want to tempt me into knitting some shawls now…not fair!
