Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 3 Blog Tour

Today is my day on Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Volume 3 Blog Tour!  Check it out — lots of good quilt bloggers are included in the tour. And, there are prizes . . good prizes!  Volume 3 will be on the new stands and in quilt shops on May 10.  I’ll remind you again on that so you don’t miss it.

Back when I had the cover up and asked you to guess which one was mine, most guessed the orange/purple block over on the right side but that belongs to Julie at JayBird Quilts!  We both got a kick out of everyone thinking her block was my block, and we had kinda used the same colors.  See the three at the very top.  Mine is the middle one.  Some did guess that one.  It’s Block #283 (page 67) in the magazine.  My block is named Rain Dance.

The block instructions are in the issue, along with 99 other wonderful blocks!  The perimeter blocks on my quilt were modified a bit and a pieced border of pinwheel blocks was added.  A full photo of the quilt is included in the magazine.  With the block instructions in the magazine, you can easily make this quilt.

As with the two previous volumes, the blocks in this issue are fantastic and I think any quilter would be thrilled to have this issue in their collection.

  13. Yersterday, I tried to buy the magazine. Looked up adddress of nearest book store, and drove there only to be told that they didn’t have it. The first two issuse are on my book shelf. Next week I will try again.
