This morning when we got up, the internet in the hotel wasn’t working. It was kinda cranky yesterday so I’m hoping now that it’s “fixed”, it will be better than it’s been since we’ve been here.
As soon as we arrived here on Sunday, I got my little sewing area set up.
This room is way small but they allow dogs and that’s what matters right now so as long as I have a place to sew and Speck is with is, we can work around everything else.
The binding is finished on the brown quilt.
It doesn’t even look bad in this hotel room, does it? Fiesta Sunrise should be finished this afternoon!

Your brown quilt makes even a basic hotel room look fabulous. Happy sewing.

Judy you are doing great rolling with the punches! My DH is military we are always at plan D or E! We also have a dog and I know how that goes when moving and trying to find a hotel that will accept them. We were in the same boat last year. We ended up buying a house that I had never seen in person. Neighborhood and neighbors are great but I don’t like the house very much. I hope that you find a workable solution soon. Sounds like you are being open to different options and that is good. I also have a LA and that does complicate the search. I kept trying to describe the LA to the realtor and she didn’t really understand. All in all it went pretty well but I do hate the process. Can’t wait till I don’t have to move every 3 years. Good luck!

Judy, I love your quilt, and yes, it does make this hotel room look better. Is there any chance you are going to share this pattern?

What a beautiful quilt there on the hotel bed. Sure does make the place look better. I’m sure it helps Speck to feel a little more at home too 😉
Love the TX shaped waffle!! and yes, you are so right, Texas Pride is strong here in this state – no matter what area you live in. 🙂

You have a great attitude in the midst of such uncertainty. Every day I am hoping that your news is “We found it!” Whatever place you choose, I just know you will make it a happy home very quickly.

Beautiful quilt! Makes that hotel room look more like home. Good luck house hunting. After moving quite a few times early in our marriage we have been in our house over 30 years. Don’t think I can move now! When we moved in we had empty closets—-but no more!

Did I tell you I am taking a basic quilting class? I’m taking it at Harper’s. It’s just a very easy small quilt – but I’m excited! Sorry that you missed the Jane Patrick Rigid Heddle workshop. It was loads of fun and very informative. Good luck with your transition. I hope you get settled soon. I see you are making the best of the hotel situation! You can make even a stark hotel room look comfortable and homey.

Your quilt looks marvelous on that bed! A famous quilt teacher once told me that she carries a quilt with her when she travels and the first thing she does when she gets to the hotel is take off their bed spread and put on her quilt. It just makes the room much homier. That is what your quilt has done to that room.

I too would love the pattern to the brown quilt. It would make a great Fathers day quilt.

Love your brown quilt! Is that your own pattern? I have a pile of browns I would love to make one just like it. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful quilt Judy, & brown is not my fav either… It is an impressive quilt!
Don’t know why, but I love to sew while in a hotel room. Possibly due to all the distractions at home?? I wish you the best in your continuing search for a home. I’ll bet Speck would love big pastures to run around in!!!
