Finished another pair! Lots of knitting time with the early darkness and no garden and no canning.
These are the ones that I thought had the mohair and initially, I thought they were too scratchy but after knitting them up, they don’t feel scratchy. That’s because they don’t even have mohair in them. Where did I get that idea? Must’ve been another yarn I was looking at. These are Pagewood Farms St. Elias which is 80% Bluefaced Leicester and 20% nylon. The color is Fabulous Fall. These socks feel like they’ll be real cushiony but I haven’t worn them yet.
Amazing, but this is only the 9th pair of socks I’ve completed this year. I could’ve sworn there were more . . especially since my goal this year was to make 15 pairs. I might can still pull it off since I have a few finished solo socks and need to make a mate for them. But, that’s still a lot of socks to get done before the end of the year. We’ll see.

Wow! you shouldn’t have any cold tootsies this winter. I’d love to learn to knit socks but not sure I could do it even if I had the time. Good for you!

i think even making 9 pairs of socks is a real accomplishment. LOL can you tell how many i’ve made?
ZERO, zip, nada. not even one little sock. and since i wear socks every day, i really should be making them. one of these days i’lll have to try it, but i’ve got a lot of quilts to make first.
well done, Judy!

Pretty! I don’t think you’ll have any problem getting mates for those solos done. I’ve finished 3 pairs since the first of the month. It would be more, but Don and my son, Josh, keep asking for other things like hats, scarves, fingerless mitts, socks for THEM, etc. Don’t they know I have socks for ME to knit?? LOL!! Eve

Judy, LOVE those red socks. I’ve started up my sock again, for the umpteenth time. I only have an inch, but I’m sticking with it. I’m determined to own a pair of hand knitted socks- can you tell. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Dar in MO

I’ve got a ball of Loopy Ewe’s waiting in the wings, hopefully for a pair for my best friend. Won’t she be suprised!!
