If you subscribe to this blog (or any blog) through Bloglines, they’re shutting down on October 1 so please re-subscribe through another means. If you go over on my sidebar, you’ll see this:
If you click on the “subscribe” button, you’ll find all kinds of options for subscribing. You can also click on twitter to follow me there or facebook to be my friend there. If you’re a knitter and a member of Ravelry, you can click on that button too. I’ll tell you beforehand, I’m not so good at twittering and I’m worse at keeping up with Ravelry. I halfway do a decent job on facebook but really, this blog is my favorite way of communicating.
If you are a Bloglines user, and I am, you can import your blog list, which I did with google reader but so far, it just doesn’t seem like home over at google reader. I know I’m turning into my grandmother — I do not like change!

Okay, I am lost……….. I have Google’s Blogger but is that the same thing as bloglines? I am such an idiot about these things……

I chg’d to google reader a wk and a half ago. Didn’t like it at first, (I don’t like change, either) but I’m loving it now! Just have to get used to it then it’s OK.

I think I am OK. I come in through google, and that is where all my stuff is.
glen: although I could be wrong, I am just not really great at all this computer stuff, I’d rather be quilting!

Oh, I forgot to tell you this. I wish I would have had a camera with me. Today we drove to Laplace to the funeral of my mother’s husband (long story). But on the way back we ate taht fabulous thin fried catfish at Middendorf’s (a total necessity if you are nearby). Then Frank and I drove down Hwy 51 along side the interstate rather than on the interstate to look at the new Wildlife Management Area they set up into the swamp.
And when we pulled up into the parking lot—-what did we see? A huge fine rooster and 4 chickens and about 15 baby chicks! He was dark irridescent brown with green longer tail feathers and a bright comb. I didn’t get a good look at the hens. They scattered too quickly.
We were shocked, out there in the middle of god forsaken nowhere swamp! And you know there are aligators and mink and snakes of all kinds out there too. But they are making it.
And the first thing I thought of was “Judy would LOVE this!” LOL.

Hi Judy…I’m a grandmother too. I clicked on “subscribe” and that’s about the last word I understood. Don’t know how to do this………can you explain more in blogging. I’m a lost ball in high weeds! MUST be able to read your blog. Thanx

I’m a mess tech-wise, but after several tries, I succeeded in exporting my list to Google Reader the day after bloglines made their announcement. That was what? –2 weeks ago? I don’t like GR. It’s like walking up to the 3rd floor, down the hall and and back down a flight of stairs to get to the 2nd floor. Bigger and fancier isn’t always better, IMHO. In short, it is a pain. And now, GR is dropping part of their service after I was getting accustomed to it. I’m not sure what that is all about. They probably are overloaded with former bloglines subscribers. I appreciate your reader options button. Do you know whether or not these are all free services? I can only do free. I am very tempted to move from GR. hmm, I wonder would that be a good move or would it be out of the frying pan and into the fire. I need to do some research.

I usually am amenable to change, but I agree that this change is rough. Bloglines.com was like second nature to me so this is rough. It’s like loosing a (mostly) reliable friend. ~ksp

I have your blog on my list of favorites. Does that mean I have to subscribe to something else Judy? I don’t know too much about stuff like that but I know I would sure miss your blog if I couldn’t read it everyday.
Chris says
I just hope BlogBridge stays for a while! Who knows.

OH NO! A day without Judy will be like a day without sunshine. What will we do? wring my hands, pace, cry, it just can’t be! Just what will a body do? Boo Hoo

Judy…I have no idea if I’ll be able to get this blog after Oct. 1 or not. I joined your facebook page, but it doesn’t have everything that this blog has. How will I be able to determine if I’ll continue to get your blog short of waiting until the first of the month? TIA

I don’t know anything about bloglines, but I love Google Reader – I leave it open all day and know when I see the title in bold that they have added something new 🙂 I also love that I can group similar/like blogs into folders. family & friends in a folder, favorite quilters, redwork, photography, modern type quilters, mom’s…. and on and on. Judy I hope that you get to likeing google reader better soon 😉
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
