Since I never watch TV, I have no clue what’s new or what’s being advertised. I totally missed this thing:
Diana had mentioned her steam mop on Facebook the other day and I asked her about it. I’m not the best housekeeper but I try to keep my kitchen floor clean. I hate walking around on a dirty floor and I sweep it a dozen times a day and usually mop at least once. I hate making mop water! So, as soon as Diana responded and told me it was a Shark and how it worked, I began looking online. The costs varied . . I found some in the $60 range and some over $100. Reviews weren’t bad for any of them but they weren’t great for any of them either. I figured I’d just look at them when I went to a city and could go to Target.
Then I was at our local Wal-Mart and they had this one . . regular $78, marked down to $59 so I grabbed it. I love it! I truly love it! You don’t put anything in it but plain water and my floor feels so clean . . so much cleaner than it did when I used a regular mop. I still have to use a rag or mop to get right up against the edge of the cabinets and walls but since I got the steam mop, I just make a bit of mop water in the sink, dip a cleaning rag in the mop water, toss the rag on the floor and use my foot to clean the edges.
The little towel that does the cleaning . . just toss it in the washer at the end of each day. It came with two towels. I judge gadgets by “Would I replace this one if it broke?” If this little steam mop broke, I’d go out that very same day and find another one.
I’ve had it for a couple of weeks and I’ve used it at least once a day and sometimes twice. So quick, so easy . . why didn’t I hear about this thing earlier? Thanks Diana!

I got one of those about 3 or 4 months ago. I love it. I have all hardwood floors in my house, with the exceptions being the bathrooms. I use it about once or twice a month on the hardwood floors. (I’m afraid too much more than that and my floors would get too much moisture!) I love the way the floors feel when you clean them!

I’ve had one for a year or so now Judy and just like you I’d go right out and buy a new one if this one quit! blessings, marlene

I have the bigger one and I use it about once a week.

LOL! I love mine too as you already know. It was MY PLEASURE to point you in this direction. I learn so much from you! It is worth every penny!

I love mine! But the only problem is I have pavers in my kitchen and it is really difficult to clean the kitchen floor. I have to do it in increments. But the laundry room and the bathrooms are a snap!

Wow! I never heard of this before. I’ll have to look into it. Does it work by itself?!? Ha! I can’t get down on my knees anymore (somehow they have lost all their padding and it hurts!), and Dan will get down and do the dirty work for me, but it always makes me feel guilty…

Hmm, maybe they can invent a steam mop like this vacuum robot thingy: you come back home and the floor is steam cleaned.

A few months back I happened to see these demonstrated on QVC. My husband is retired (I’m not) so I bought him one. He loves it too.

I have a Shark, too, but it’s a different model. I’ve only had it a couple of months, but, like you, I LOVE IT, and if it broke I’d run right out to get another.

Judy – where have you been????
I’ve had a steam mop (different brand) for a long time…. they are great for cleaning up.
I noticed that the covers do shrink over time, especially if you wash them in hot water and dry them. And, buy extra covers in case you use on a daily basis, but only do the hot water/bleach wash on a weekly basis.but, I’ve adapted with creating my own covers with older towles.

I heard about this from a friend, too….guess I should investigate it further.

I just bought mine today!

I’ve had mine a couple years and will replace it when this one dies. My main complaint? The sloppy, wobbly plastic tube/handle.

I have one of these too Judy. I need to use it a lot more frequently than I do, but it does do a great job. With the dog running in and out during muddy weather (which is hasn’t been for some time), it’s a very handy item!

My sister-in-law got one last year and loves it…I was skeptical. But after all these positive comments, I think I will check it out. I too, dislike mop water, just something gross about it.

I’ve also decided when I can I will have one..Diana loves hers …it’s on my list. I wash my floor on my hand and knees..killer.
I’ve started learning EQ7..and now I’m confined to the house for 2 weeks at least I’ll need it to cut the boredom that is right around the corner. I’ll be back alot I’m sure looking for helpful hints.
Thanks again

Mine broke after 4 uses. Didn’t have the box anymore, was going to be major hassle to send it back, so just dumped it and called it a day. I have concrete floors so I can’t say it was fabulous. It’s just as easy for me to use the rag mop. I vacuum my floors then mop. I wish mine would have worked better. It was easier but not good for concrete.
Hope you don’t swelter today. Good day to visit the fabric stores….

We have tile through our entire house – no carpet at all – and 2 dogs so this is probably a good investment. Definitely will look at these!
