Binding is all done . . finished by machine last night. Nice to finish a UFO!
Even though Warm & Natural batting isn’t my favorite weight, it surely seems to be my favorite as far as making nice, flat, non-rippling edges. I like this quilt a lot and may keep it for myself.

You have finished many quilts this year. It is such a good feeling to get one completed. Congratulations.

I love the quilt, but I don’t much care for Warm and Natural batting at all. I have two rolls of the stuff I’ve been trying to use up when I do practice pieces forever.

That is a great quilt. Nice and bright, yet simple, and not busy looking.
Vicky says
It really is a great quilt. It was easy and fun to make. Looks fantastic, Judy!

it is lovely 🙂 I usually use W&N because my mom gave me a roll for Christmas a while back (I only quilt for my pleasure right now). And I agree, it does give nice, flat edges 🙂

Very pretty! I love very heavy quilts so W&N is my absolute favorite batting. Thank goodness we have a variety to choose from!

The design feels a little southwest to me. Great combination of blocks!

Very nice..as usual!! 🙂 Gotta love finishing a UFO!!! Congrats!

Judy, I love the brightness of this quilt. I think it’s one of my favorites that you’ve shown us. I’m happy you’re keeping it for yourself. What is your favorite type of batting to use?
Happy Easter to you and your family.
Mary says
It looks great, I can see why you’d want to keep it.

It was this quilt that made me buy your book! Glad you are keeping it for yourself. What a novelty 🙂

I love your quilt! I agree with the southwest description in an earlier post. That was my 1st thought too.

Your binding looks about as wide as your read border…is it?
Love the way it looks!
JudyL says
Nope. Binding is cut 2-1/2″ so it finishes at somewhere between 1/2″ and 5/8″. I use the edge of the walking foot to line up the edge of the quilt/binding and that makes my seam allowance larger than 1/4″. The final border of this quilt is either 2″ or 2-1/2″ so the binding is nowhere near as wide as the red border.
