Does this block look kinda like a Mickey Mouse cap?
Something about it makes me smile. Don’t too much like it by itself but when put with the rest of the quilt, I’m liking it.
After getting a late start this morning, I’ve managed to grind the wheat, make the bread which is rising now, a roast is in the crockpot, going to the store to get Karo syrup to make peanut brittle, then the rest of the afternoon, I’m sewing!

This reminds me more of My Favorite Martian. Can’t wait to see the rest. Your quilts always turn out terrific.

I actually got to sew this morning. Still only 1/2 way through with my Freeze Frame but it is looking good so far.
I also got a loaf of bread made this morning. I upacked my bread machine. I haven’t used it years……………. It is getting a workout now. I am thinking of making rolls to go with my Sausage & Bean soup on the menu for tonight.

It looks like a martian cap to me, too….I guess Kris and I have similar thoughts!

or rabbit ears on a old tv
Carol says
I agree…Mickey, Uncle Martin, rabbit ears…how about an old metal colander that’s upside down? And the view I see when I look down at my feet! Hate menopause!

Can you post your recipe for peanut brittle? I used to make it in the microwave, but then I got a microwave that is more powerful, and I can’t seem to adjust the cooking times to make it work. I’d love to see how you make it!
