Sock Yarn Giveaway

A Battle Brewing

Because the Sock Summit is happening and I’m not there and because it’s summer and I don’t have time to knit much, but fall is coming and I have more time to sit and knit in the fall and winter . . I think it’s time for a sock yarn giveaway, along with a really neat Lexie Barnes needle case?

DSC07716

The yarn is a gorgeous cherry red, Fleece Artist BFL (80% Superwash Blue Face Leicester/20% nylon).  This little package was donated by my favorite yarn shop, Simply Sock Yarn.  They’ve been my favorite yarn shop for several years now.  I’ve always had fantastic service from them, have recommended them to friends and those friends love shopping with them too.

The drawing will be held Friday before noon and all you have to do to be entered is create a post on your blog showing socks you’ve recently knitted or are currently knitting, then leave a comment here with a link back to that post.    To be eligible, the link has to be to that specific post, not to your main blog.

Thanks!

Yes, I am in a silly mood this morning. Fiscal Year end reports have turned my mind to mush.

Oooh, red yarn sounds so fun! I posted pictures of my sock progress so far. I just started knitting socks last fall, and they are so much fun! I am using the method using two circular needles per sock.

I’ve finished two pairs and have two pairs in progress. Socks are so much fun to knit — they are portable and great conversation starters!

I have completed two pairs, and have two more pairs underway. They are so much fun! I knit them on two circular needles. I tried the two-at-a-time method, but it wasn’t for me!

No blog here, either! LOL!! But I’ll still be very excited for whichever blogger wins that scrumptious red yarn.
I put my sock needles down over the weekend when I finished a “Pom Pom Ped” (from Purl Bee–Purl/Soho shop’s blog). I had decided to do this 2nd pair of “PPPs” on a size 1 needle, ‘cuz the pair I did on size 2s seemed just a tad big. Got the first ped done, and my 25-year-old daughter w/ small feet will be getting these. LOL!!
So this week, I’m working on a “Scarf Hood” for my sister. Size won’t count w/ this project!! LOL!! Eve
