Folks . . the year is half over at this point! Well, maybe not exactly half over but our stash reports for 2009 will be half over after this one. It’s funny for me to see how many people we start out with and how they dwindle away . . hanging their heads in shame. Oh, wait . . maybe their heads aren’t hung in shame . . maybe the weight of the new fabric has them all hunched over! 🙂
8-1/2 yards used this week, nothing added; net used to date: 216 yards
Who cares . . really? We’re having fun and we are using some of our stash, right?
Please share your stash report with us:

Hanging my head in shame? Yep, I confess! ROFLOL. My buying is kind of dwindling down – probably until fall market, though. Time to start sewing! Your report is amazing, Judy! Did you set a goal for the year? Good going!

Not hunched over or hanging in shame… just too busy, and afraid, very afraid, that my house will be torn apart if I go to the sewing room.

I will have to hang my head in shame 🙁 I brought home two boxes of fabrics happily donated by my mother. I have them sitting on the floor by my sewing machine haven’t even had the time to go through them. I am using up my black and white stash by working on a pinwheel quilt. But honestly I can’t tell you how much fabric I do have. According to my daughters its boxes. I am so ashamed!!

Proud today…I used 8 yards approximately of scraps for my string quilt this week. Yahoo! My downfall is the quilt shows, it will be another story when I go to the next one!!

Well, I’m here, can’t say that the stash is going well, but I’m tracking still, which was my goal.

I am not hanging my head in shame, but I also can not say that I am doing a good job. I could give all kinds of excuses, but I won’t. Let’s just say that life is really getting in the way of my goals to change my stash into quilts.

All I can say is, “It’s not (just) my fault!” There is a DH and an Assistant buying for me too.

I am still here! Life has been crazy but I am still busting yardage. I am a little ahead of my half way goal and loosing my Quilt Studio this next week. That’s not going to stop me though.

Hey, we still have half the year to reach to our goal. And my goal remains the same-net busted 100 yds. Now as long as I don’t buy any fabric all summer, I should be closer to that goal.
Howdy says
Half over… gee whiz where did the time go?
Sure hope the second half is better than the first…

I wish I had new and exciting purchases to report, but I’ve only bought 12.5 yards for quilting this year… but I also buy fabrics for curtains (1 room made!), most of my son’s clothes (as needed) and some clothes for me. Guess I have more than 1 stash to work off of, but with the quilting fabric it just isn’t as urgent to get made into something right away – I like to “save” it!
