Copyrighting recipes

I hate it when people feel the need to leave anonymous ugly comments!  So, to Bob@Bob.com (fake address), you’re welcome to do your own research but recipes are not subject to copyright protection unless . . well, you can read it for yourself straight from the U. S. Copyright Offce here.

So, to answer your question, no, I did not invent all the recipes I post.  Why would I?  I’m not breaking any rules by posting the recipes on my site.  If I do come across a recipe that I feel is personal or developed by someone else, as with the hamburger buns I made yesterday, I share the link to that person’s site instead of posting it on my own blog.  And, occasionally people have sent me favorite recipes and I’ve asked if it was ok to share them.
