While in Kansas City Saturday to get my sewing machine, we went to Macaroni Grill for lunch. Friday I was pretty aggravated about the chickens and the garden. Saturday morning . . we still weren’t real happy with each other. I had planned to call my friend, Jeanne in KC, and see if she could meet me for lunch one day this week and go over to get the sewing machine then. But . . NO! We ALL had to go to KC together on Saturday.
Chad had taken off work Saturday and Sunday to go turkey hunting but I never quite figured out why he didn’t go on Saturday. Free meal at a restaurant maybe? It was supposed to rain on Saturday and he was hunting with a friend on church property and this particular church does their worship on Saturday so they couldn’t hunt on Saturday so . . he went with us.
While at Macaroni Grill, Chad was busy drawing on the paper “table cloth” while waiting for our check.
But, Judy and Vince were busy writing bad names to each other!
Some of the names Vince wrote were bad and I had to erase them. Well . . to be quite honest, one of the names I wrote was kinda bad too but I had the decency to scratch it out. I am such a decent person! 🙂
I take back all the bad names because before leaving town, he stopped here.
And, he decided not to stop at Home Depot!

Very funny! I haven’t been to Mac. Grill in ages, I’ll remember to take crayons when I go.

You are so easily ‘bought’…meaning the cheesecake. LOL!
JudyL says
If only you knew how easy! Food will do it every time! 🙂

But, but, but… What did you EAT? I love the Macaroni Grill. Did you have the calamari? I can’t believe you didn’t take pictures of the food.
I also love the food at the Cheesecake Factory. Did you go to Dean & DeLuca’s? It’s on 119th St too.
JudyL says
Did not go to Dean & DeLuca’s. We did have calamari. No matter where we are, if there’s calamari on the menu, we get it. To tell you the truth . . I cannot remember what I had. Something with shrimp and a white sauce (I don’t like red sauce).

Oooh, that sounds so good. The Macaroni Grill by us had a kitchen fire and ended up closing. It was my favorite place to eat. I love the Pasta Rustica with a glass of their house red wine. mmmmmm
Judy says
That’s funny-writing naughty names on the tablecloth. I think I will cover my table with paper sometime! 😉 Mmmmmmmm Cheesecake!
I’m curious, has Chad ever bagged a turkey?
Linda says
Vince shows uncanny wisdom at times, doesn’t he?
Marla says
Everytime I think of calamari now I think of my experience with it a couple of years ago. My daughter and I got some at Pasta House once and had some left over. We took it home. Reheated it later that night and the coating fell off of the calamari. There they were, dangling little lwhite egs like an octopus. Definitely unappetizing! We got a chuckle out of it though!
Tell Vince if those chickens don’t get out of the basement, you will be sending him there to gather the eggs!! If he doesn’t watch out, he will be sleeping with them!!

Yummy- haven’t been to Macaroni Grill since they took my favorites off the menu- the cheese ravioli with the green & red sauce and the bowtie pasta with the chicken, red onion & pancetta- can’t think of the name of it.

I am 60 years old with lupus and R.A. and I enjoy making all my own flower beds and my vegetable garden. I have turned the sod with only a shovel and a hoe for years. My husband offers to help but I’m the one who wants the garden and flower beds so I prefer to do the work myself. The physical exercise is a great mood lifter. Best of luck as you get your garden going.

I’d forgotten about the crayons — I don’t think we’ve been to Macaroni Grill since leaving Florida 6-7 years ago.
