If you think things are bigger in Texas . . you need to get a pork tenderloin sandwich in Missouri!
A pork tenderloin sandwich from Smith’s Restaurant in Collins, MO. Chad and I went there in 2007 and I blogged about it here.
Vince and I ate there Monday when we were looking at land.
Vince got fish.
We shared onion rings.
I had to have the pork tenderloin sandwich.
Smith’s has wonderful pies but we were stuffed to the gills and didn’t even get any pie.
Living near this restaurant is another reason I want to find some land in St. Clair County!
And you know what’s really funny? My family fully expects me to whip out my camera and take a picture of our food . . whether we’re eating at home or in a restaurant and while Chad isn’t usually real happy about it (see the link posted above), he doesn’t squawk too loudly and Vince . . before we take a bite, he’ll say “aren’t you going to take a picture?” They’ve accepted that my camera is always with me and no matter how much they protest, photos will be taken so . . they no longer protest. Good family!

Ha ha, that is so funny about taking the photos. Most times I will make something sooo yummy and we eat 1/2 of it before I realize that I didn’t take a photo.
Looks like you both had a great lunch. Cheers! Evelyn

Between CJ blogging about breakfast and you showing us your dinner I am starving now!! lol
Looks like a delicious “down home” cooked meal! And I love how you take pictures of everything. If I take the camera with us when we go out, I get one of those “why you grabbing the camera” strange looks from my hubby and kid. 😉

Yummy! My kind of food. I think the tenderloin thing fell down through the border from Iowa. My brother now lives in Geogia/Florida and comes home ONLY for a tenderloin sandwich. And you know the pie, you could take it home for later!
Happy Easter

My husband loves pork tenderloin. I’m going to have to take him to this restaurant so he can have one. It’s only 119 miles away from where I live. Sounds easy to me.

Yummo! I always take food photos. I usually take some bites before I remember, though. I love reading travel reports and the food is a big part of travel for me.

Yummy! Sure looks good, esp. the onion rings!
We take pictures of food on the holidays, after it’s all set out on the table.

Peggy’s in Collins makes some of the best rolls in sw missouri. My husband and I used to go once a week for dinner and they make a mean chicken fried steak.

They have the best food. Haven’t been in years, but I think of it often. Unless things have changed they are cheap also.
