It’s been a very long time since I wrote a letter to Santa but I just sent one. Here it is:
I’ve been a very good girl this year . . except when my husband drives me nuts and then sometimes I’m kinda grumpy. I’ll try to do better . . I really will!
I do so much cooking and trying to get fresh herbs is impossible in this little town. Probably just as bad for Mrs. Claus trying to get supplies at the the North Pole. Just today, I paid $2.50 for some sad looking basil but I really needed it. So many of my cooking friends are using this: http://tinyurl.com/6qdbxf
It is a little pricey but if we have fresh herbs or lettuce (maybe if you brought me two of them!), I’m sure in the long run, it would actually save us money and then my husband would be very happy.
Anyway . . that’s all I’m asking for this year so I surely hope you can bring at least one . . although two would be really nice.

Let’s see if Santa really gets my letter (I sent it via DH’s email address!) and let’s see if Santa grants my request!

I need to be growing some more herbs, mostly cilantro and chives. Last time I did it (before I forgot to water my plants) I had basil growing out my ears and even gave a bunch to my SIL to make pesto. I might just ask Santa for a couple of plants and some more potting soil. Maybe a couple of cherry tomato plants too! It is now the “rainy season” so I may not have to water as much.

I’ve been looking at those myself at Creative Kitchen….but there is always something I need worse…..I was thinking we could buy these for ourselves and wrap them up and put our name on them from Santa and put it under the tree…..or for you it could be from Speck…..I don’t have a Speck-type critter, maybe a secret admirier. Anyway fresh herbs are the best.

Judy, if you need help with this, I’m sure we could blitz Vince’s cell phone with messages from Santa for you!!! LOL

Judy, I can tell you that my brother and future sister in law got one of these as a housewarming gift a few months ago, and she told me on Thanksgiving that it is absolutely fabulous…she says she uses the basil all the time.
Santa says
Dear Judy,
Is this the same Judy who, in the past ten days, has said ‘why do I have so much stuff?’ and something about buying ‘what I need and not what I want’? Whatever happened to clay pots near a window?
Love,
Santa

Woah, When did Santa develop the attitude??? 🙂
I think Judy needs one or two of these. Does Santa remember what a fabulous woman she is? She doesn’t ask for much………etc, etc
This Judy wouldn’t mind have one also. Just in case you don’t know what else I want. 😉
