Don’t forget we have a Quiltathon coming up November 15 and 16. It’s not too early to begin thinking about things you can do ahead of time in order to have more sewing time.
Here are two recipes I made yesterday that were so good! One (the pork) was a new recipe for me and we’ll definitely have it again.
Pork with Fall Veggies is delicious and you could use whatever veggies you want and leave out whichever ones you don’t want! I doubled the recipe and have some for leftovers for the weekend.
Pumpkin Gingerbread is a pretty much “no fail” recipe and is great for gift giving. I sent one loaf to work with Vince.

Judy, I’m a faithful follower of your blog and I love it so keep the posts coming. I’ve never left a comment before, but as I printed the Pumpkin Gingerbread recipe I saw that it says “all purple flour” when I’m thinking it should say “all purpose flour”. I got a chuckle out of that because while I do love the color purple, I’ve never seen “all purple flour” LOL. As far as the recipe goes, I think I’m going to have to make the time to try it today. I love both pumpin bread and gingerbread and this sounds yummy. Thanks for sharing! Laura

I have a huge pork roast in the freezer I plan to serve when DS1 is home in ten days or so. I definitely am going to work into the Pork with Fall Veggies recipe. Those are all my favorite vegetables. Yummy! It’s so much fun to have “kids” home to feed, and I’m really looking forward to it!

The pumpkin gingerbread sounds pretty good – does it freeze well? Since I don’t know anyone to pass off one loaf too…….I’m thinking I could freeze it.
