Time is flying by, don’t you think? After today’s stash reports, we only have 17 weeks left in 2008. Can you believe that? Anyone thinking about what you’re going to do for stashbusting in 2009? Not sure what I’m going to do but I’ll do something. It’s been nice being accountable to someone (I’m not kidding myself — no one cares how much fabric I use but it makes me feel good to think that millions of quilters across the world will think of me as a failure if I don’t reach my goal. That’s encouraging . . or frightening or . . or pompous!)
Anyway, there have been quite a few times when I started to buy fabric and then I thought . . I’ll have to show that on my stash report so I don’t buy it. That’s good! I need that type of accountability . . even if it’s only in my own head.
So . . here’s my stash report for this week.
Fabric added this week – 0 yards
Fabric added year to date – 282 yards
Fabric used this week – 8.75 yards
Fabric used year to date – 299.00 yards
Net Used to Date – 17 yards
Please share your stash report with us!

like you i’m thinking ‘if i buy this it will go on my report!”
that has kept me from buying a lot of new stuff, but it has also put off till next year compleating some quilts for lack of a backing fabric.
i know i won’t get done with all my projects this year, but i will go into next year with a manageable amount left to do, which is encouraging.

Well, I’m still poking buttons, accountability or not, simply because I’m addicted to fabric. But I have passed on more than I’ve purchased, so that’s a good thing! I want to keep this up next year, Judy! It’s been good for me!

I have nothing to report this week so I won’t post a link. Nothing for next week either but with my last finish at least my yards used is 77.5 now.

Another good week for you! At this rate you’ll hit your goal by the end of the year.

Uh huh, and you were WHERE yesterday?? Amy was there vending and I kept asking her, “you seen her yet? You seen her yet??”
If you were there, I missed you, but I don’t think you were.
We had some nice quilts, but we were down 50 from last year. I don’t know what’s going on. Attendence was down too, but we kind of expected that with gas prices. Along with every other price.
Speaking of which I did some major damage with the vendors. Thank God I’m not into this “stash busting” fad. 🙂
Have you seen a new book called Pieced Applique by Penny Heren? You’ll like it.

It is amazing how a routine report helps to provide some structure to accountability. Keeps you aware of what is coming in and going out. I think you are doing great. BTW, I do read all the links each weeks. You go girls!

Good for you. I almost made it back up to 200 yards net. Maybe next week!
