This is THE BEST place to live! Have I said lately how much I love living here? Maybe not so . . I’ll just say it now – I love this town!
The other day I had some priority mail envelopes to send out. I did it all through USPS.com and then filled out the request for the carrier to pick them up on my front porch the next day. I had three envelopes but then I had another one so I went ahead and paid for the shipping and just added the 4th one to the pile. This is the note the mailman left me! Click on it to make it larger but he wrote “4, can’t you count”. Of course, he was just joking but isn’t that funny. I’ve always had kinda grumpy mail carriers but here, no matter who delivers the mail, they’re friendly and nice.
Vince and I went down to the fireworks at the fairgrounds tonight. This was our first time to go to the fireworks display here and since this is such a small town, I wasn’t expecting it to be great but it was fantastic! And, I think the entire town was there. I do believe that every single person in the whole county might have been out there. It was a cool night . . almost too cool to be out in shorts. Everyone was nice . . didn’t see anyone being rowdy or obnoxious.
I was able to get a few pictures before my battery died. I hadn’t even noticed it was going down and poof — it was out!

That’s funny, I was thinking the exact same thing today. I flew back home from Virginia and Keith and I wandered around by the river for a while with the crowds but came home to watch the fireworks from our balcony.
Happy 4th!
