This & That

I’m out and about today doing a mini-workshop and trunk show and thought I’d leave you with just some “this & that” kind of thoughts.

1. There’s a Quiltathon this weekend. If you want to participate, get some cooking and cleaning done ahead of time! I hope to get lots of sewing done and will be here to cheer you along.

2. I truly would love to respond to every comment/e-mail you all send me but I simply cannot. I appreciate every comment and e-mail I get and I promise you I read them all but I’m spending way too much time on the computer. Often I plan to go back and respond to some of the comments/e-mails and then they get buried under more comments/e-mails and I never get back to them. I apologize for not sending personal responses and I hope you all understand.

3. The Star Sampler BOM – I will be doing this as a BOM and I hope to start on July 15. If you plan to participate, add my blog to your bloglines or whatever you use. I cannot e-mail everyone and let you know when the next installment is posted. The plan is to post new blocks on the 1st and 15th of each month but I will be traveling a good bit during the time we’re doing the BOM and I know there will be times when blocks are posted on the 14th or the 16th (or earlier or even later!). And, when a new block is posted, the old one will come down. The various blocks may be offered for sale later or for free on a website. I’m not sure what the future holds but if you want to do the BOM with me, make sure you stay up with me on getting the instructions.

I didn’t get finished with the top last week, as I had hoped, because I was really close on one of the green fabrics, made a wrong cut and had to order more fabric. I want to get mine finished and then get a few blocks ahead of myself on the instructions so I can make sure there are no errors.

I will be posting more about the yardage requirements, etc. over the next couple of weeks.
