The UFO number drawn for March is:
5
My February UFO didn’t get done. It needed borders. I washed the fabrics and that’s as far as I got. I’ll do better in March.
Please share a link to your February UFO and tell us about the progress you made with it.

No blog here. I started my Feb UFO. It was rather ambitious – to quilt a row by row quilt. I made the back, put everything on the frame and got 1.5 rows done. For each row, I need to figure out the best quilting and then do it. I’m still unsure on what I’m doing. Plus there’s sashing and borders. Much to do, but since it’s on the frame I will have to finish it. A good thing.

My February UFO didn’t get finished. It was a top and now it’s all basted and ready for quilting. I’m waiting on some quilting inspiration to strike before I get started on it. Maybe I just need to jump in and do anything!

well, I had decided after setting out all the blocks for this one that many of the fabrics are thin and poly cotton and I wasn’t sure I wanted to use them. was going to just bag it all up and put it in the giveaway stuff, but then I decided to sort the pieces and salvage what I felt was usable. I will either decide to make the original top or will put the salvaged pieces into my scrap buckets. I did manage to work on trimming some completed half square triangles that were cut off of other projects from years ago. I also managed to sort the half square triangle scrap bucket into groups of completed half square triangles that need trimming or coordinating fabrics that need to be sewn but didn’t get much else done. I have continued to be sick as well as having to babysit grand girls who have been sick and just haven’t done much sewing at all. hoping this month goes better. was nice to see the pictures of projects completed or moved along. great job, all.

Unfortunately I have not completed projects for February as well as I did for Jan. My main project has moved forward- just have to find the quilting time. That goes for the quilt from my #2 list. I did complete 10 pillow cases, 8 of which have been cut out and ready to sew for about 5 years! Half of them will go to a local charity. I did make an impromptu Ronald McDonald House quilt. My plan to finish the quilts and complete March’s lists involves reducing the amount of time I spend playing games on the computer! Good thing I stay away from Pinterest, Craftsy, and Ravelry! And of course, to throw a monkey wrench into the works, I have had to tear up my sewing area to get to the walls and let the carpet dry up from what leaked in from the 3+ inches of rain we got yesterday! And if that is not enough insult to injury, I have to dig up my flower garden on that side of the house so my dear hubby can make the necessary repairs. Do know that I am thankful for my warm house and very thankful for my MR. Fix-it husband! I shall SEW ON!!!
