6:30 a.m.
It’s early but I’m headed to the sewing room as soon as I tend the chickens. I’m going to start this post and then I’ll come back and revise it as I get more done. I’ll just add pictures to the top of the post so the final post of the day will be at the top.
This is the first project for the day. Blocks on the left belong to a friend. Blocks on the right are mine. Two plain squares – because we cut extras and didn’t want to lose them so we stuck them on the design wall. My friend will be over soon to sew with me. The pattern we’re using is Mountain Meadow by Marjorie Rhine. The pattern calls for 15 blocks but I think we’ve decided to make 24 each. We won’t get them all done today but we’ll give it our best shot.

glad to see you getting into quilting more again. You can quilt in the day and knit at night and cook in between..ha. Boots will be doing flips at all the activity. Enjoy your day.

Will the trees be a border? I’ll be sewing but have a lot of company on Sunday for our family’s Three Kings Day celebration so it will be only a little here and there sewing as I get ready for that event (this was planned long before the quiltathon schedule was made up). Linking soon.

Today is clean up the floor day so I can get into the stash closet. Once that is done I need to sew strings up….lots of them. Thanks for giving me a push.

I woke up feeling not so good, but I will try to get some sewing in today.
I like the new format, but I have a question about loading it in Kindle Fire – the pictures all have an ad at the bottom and it’s hard to get it off due to the tiny screen. The ads do not appear when I am on the computer. So… anyone know how to get rid of those ads? I don’t mind the other ones in between posts, but I want to see the pictures of the quilts! I am still learning about the Fire. I got it for the cheaper price, but I am about ready to pay an extra amount to get rid of all of the Amazon “special offers”.

Once I finish my MBA studies for the day, I will be binding! I have 3 quilts that only need this final step. Time to get cracking!
Can’t wait to see what you get up to!

Today I got going on quilting a top that has been a UFO for more years than I like to think about. Have also dug out some 1 1/2 in. strips to cut some more pieces for the little spools in Bonnie Hunter’s Spoolin’ Around quilt. It was started almost two years ago and I would like to get all the spools sewed by the time that two-year anniversary rolls around.
