Time to get the extra quilts off the quilt racks, off the shelves, and get them washed and ready for some cool nights. I would say “cold” but cold here and cold in most places . . just not the same.
We don’t use the heat at night unless it drops down into the low 20’s, which happens occasionally, so extra quilts on the bed are often needed.
Just last night Vince asked where his quilt was that he uses to cover up while sitting in his chair. I told him it’s going to be a long winter if he’s already needing a quilt! It was 92° yesterday and might have been in the upper 60’s last night .. but not in the house.
His sofa quilt is in the washer now so he’ll have it this evening.

Temperature is relative – 60 degrees in the springtime feels like a heat wave and everyone is out in short sleeves and shorts. Sixty in the fall and it’s cold!
I actually prefer sleeping in a cool bedroom, so give me those quilts to layer up. I even keep my ceiling fan on during the winter to promote air flow through out the room.

We had a week of splendidly cool weather… and it’s almost 90 again today. I’m ready for slippers, hot chocolate, and quilts!

I use quilts all year long in our house. My DH likes the air on in the summer too cold for me, so I dress warm. At night we have a ceiling fan going all year too and I hate that draft right over me while I sleep. So one quilt at least in the summer and 2 or more during the winter. DH also has his quilt for recliner use too. I’ve washed it so much he needs a couple new ones. I use string blocks for his chair ones since he’s very hard on them.

We had an extra quilt on last week. Wednesday morning it was 42 and we slept with the window cracked. Tonight we turned the AC back on, it hit a record high today and it’s suppose to tomorrow, 90’s. Oh wait it Missouri! Lol

Time to get the quilts ready for cool-cold weather. You know TX, shorts one week and jackets the next.
