Knitting commitments are about to get out of control and I fear deadlines may not be met. I don’t really “fear” but I’m thinking time is getting away from me. The day the Tour-de-Sock pattern came out, I had a doctor’s appointment, got the oil changed in the car, got the tires rotated, went to the grocery store for just a few things. The next day, I had an eye doctor appointment, met Vince for lunch, went to another grocery store — another half day gone. I had to take another round of Prednisone for my foot and that always slows me down and makes me feel bad.
Excuses . . I know!
The July Camp Loopy project due by the end of July. I’m making a sweater for Addie and I’m making slow progress. This is supposed to be pink and orange striped and the yarn colors weren’t as I envisioned them on the computer screen and maybe that’s why I’m not able to get real fired up about it.
Also, I haven’t made much progress on the socks that have to be finished in about 5 days. This is where I am on the first sock. I had hoped to get the heel turned last night. Didn’t happen. I was out watering til dark. Darn . . another excuse, huh?
I’ve never done mosaic before. It’s easy and fun . . just not enough hours in my day.
I have a plan . . I’ve made myself a schedule and I hope if I can stick with the schedule, I’ll finish both projects on time. At the end of July, Tour-de-Sock ends, and then I have only my Camp Loopy project for August to get done that month. I can do this.
What are you knitting on?

I can barely keep track of 1 pair of socks at a time. I am always impressed with how much knitting you manage to get done. I guess contest deadlines are good motivators! Cheers!

That pink & orange striped sweater is going to look so good on a certain little blue eyed blonde haired beautiful little girl! I love it, especially the color combination and I bet Addie will also! Stay calm and knit on!!
