A while back I received an email from Jan Ochterbeck. She is a Missouri quilter and we met back when I was traveling and teaching. Jan wrote me recently and reminded me that when we met, she had some quilt book ideas and I had encouraged her to submit her book proposal. She did and it was accepted and the book, Cut and Shuffle Quilts, is now published and available for you!
As the name implies, the quilts are made with easy and quick blocks that are then cut, re-arranged and put back together again! I love Jan’s “Block Mama” and all the quilts start with a Block Mama! That makes me smile.
I had hoped to have a block made before publishing this post but . . you know how my quilting is going these days!
Positivity, is not only the cover quilt, but there are so many things you can do with this block and Jan shows several options.
Of course, I love the name of this quilt but I also love the simplicity and yet it’s really cute! My friend’s granddaughter is the same age as Addie and she loves pink . . really loves pink! I would love to make them each a pink Positivity quilt!
Cut and Shuffle Quilts is a great book for some stress free, quick and easy, scrapbusting quilts and I highly recommend it!

Thank you so much, Judy! “Positivity” is the quilt that got me started with the Block Mama method that led to my book Cut and Shuffle Quilts. I’m so glad you like it! If your readers are interested, they can get Cut and Shuffle Quilts from AQS Publishing or Amazon, or from me at http://thecolorfulfabriholic.blogspot.com/
Thank you,
Jan
