Good projects with good progress this week. On the Grass is a wonderful sweater! I’m thinking I should call it a vest and say I’m done but it still gets sleeves and a bit of ribbing a the neck.
I love the texture of the double seed stitch. The yarn is Malabrigo Rios and it’s one of my favorites. I love how the colors wanted to pool but just never quite did it.
I struggled a bit with getting started and I still feel there’s a part of the pattern that’s confusing but I figured it out. It’s a perfect fit and I can see this being a pullover that I wear almost everyday! I think I’m going to make another one . . maybe dark gray . . something I could really wear with everything . . or maybe I’ll just finish this one first and worry about the next one later.
Also, I’m working on another test knit for Laura Aylor.
This is going to be a great, lightweight, basic cardigan with interesting pockets and elbow length sleeves. This is another pattern that I can see having in several colors. This one will get a lot of use here where we have such mild winters. Once the pattern is available for purchase, I’ll be sure to let you know. The yarn for this one came from the stash and it’s Madelinetosh Pashmina. Color is Dr. Zhivago’s Sky.

I love that On the Grass pattern, and the malabrigo Rios yarn. In fact, I got a package of that yarn in the mail yesterday, and did up a test swatch for that sweater last night. Have yet to measure it this morning, yet. That is my next knit.

On the Grass is turning out great. The pink pooling isn’t as noticeable either. It would look good as a vest too.
