To some, it may look like I’ve posted the same picture the last three weeks but there’s been a lot of ripping and re-knitting going on. The first one, I was down to the waist shaping when I tried it on and it was too big so I ripped it all out and started over. The second one, I wasn’t happy with the pickups of my wrap and turns from the purl side near the top but figured I could live with them. Then, on the pattern there are instructions for the front AFTER the armscye increases and I began using those instructions BEFORE the armscye increases so I screwed that all up and didn’t notice til I was down to where the sleeves split. I could have ripped back to where the first armscye increase should have been but because the wrap and turn pickups were wonky, I ripped all the way back again and started over so . . here I am again, at the same spot I was two weeks ago. This is no way to make progress on the yarn report.
The picture is terrible . . it’s still dark and the lighting in the house makes it look lighter and more mottled. The yarn is Dream in Color Classy and it’s held up great to all the ripping and re-knitting.

Its a good thing yarn is so forgiving and if it didn’t feel good in our hands we wouldn’t do it. Hope everything goes right from now on. Good Luck

How do you manage to try on the sweater without losing stitches? Especially the sleeves. I want to try on the one I’m currently knitting but haven’t figured out how – the sleeve stitches are on a holder.

So sorry to hear about your struggles with this project. Hang in there; it sure looks like it will be worth the effort!
