There was a glimmer of hope that I would finish Brier Island last night and I came close but didn’t finish. I have about another inch left to knit on the second sleeve and then the cuff so I should be done by mid-morning today. Then I’m going to soak it and block it and wear it . . somewhere . . before it gets too warm for sweaters.
I got a little knitting done on my Howlcat too. I took this one with me while waiting for the tires to be replaced. It’s a brainless knit so it’s been my “in the car” project but as soon as I finish Brier Island, I’m going to get cracking on Howlcat. It’s my Loopy project and needs to be finished by the end of January.

Looking good, will probblay have to add that pattern to my library as well. And don’t worry, according to the long range-you should get to wear your sweater at least once more-maybe the end of the month!

Your sweater is lovely. Love the color. I have been looking at patterns of sweaters and have found a few that I am considering. Thank you for your encouraging post last week.

Good luck finishing Brier Island this morning. It looks very comfy. Two weeks to finish Howlcat. You can do it!

Wow, it looks fabulous. I bet by now it’s finished and ready for a soak! Hope you get cool enough weather to wear it and show it off a couple times.

Did you say you used Ms. Babs yarn for this sweater? Did you need to alternate skeins for color uniformity? Do you wind those enormous Ms. Babs’ yarn hanks and do you ever find breaks in the hank? I’m just a little intimidated by that giant hank. Both sweaters are gorgeous, although I can’t quite get the picture in my head of adding the hand pocket.

Your sweater is going to be gorgeous!!! I’m the same way with the Swing Cowl – I want to make it before it gets too cold to enjoy it! I’ve put Howlcat in my library but heaven knows when I’ll get to make one.
