For today’s instructions:
1. From background fabric, cut 9 – 2-3/4” strips. Cut these into 72 – 5” x 2-3/4” rectangles.
2. Sew a rectangle to the left and right sides of the units from Instructions #4.
3. Sew the light four patches and the gold four patches to the ends of the remaining strips. Pay attention to the orientation (the colored corners should be at the bottom, next to the background rectangles.
4. Sew the units to the top and bottom of the units from #2 above to complete the block. Make 18.

totally missed step 4! but am happy i did as i would have been tempted to rush through it or squeeze it in to my weekend. now, the new week starts, with a slower schedule for me, and cutting will fit in perfectly for this morning and stitching for the afternoon. bliss.

Thank you. You continue to show how easy such a beautiful design can be.

I cannot believe I am keeping up with you!

I’m getting caught up, Judy! I had to finish an ugly camp quilt I was making — one of those deals where everyone who goes to the same retreat buys the same fabric then makes their quilt. Not really my thing (it has a panel), but it will be nice to have for camp. I have my colors a little backwards for the Sunnyside up and it won’t be really sunny, but I think I’m gonna like it!

Thanks for the clear instructions. I’ve had a busy weekend, but I’m almost caught up – phew!! I’m really enjoying it though and I think it’s looking good – so far!
