One of the green socks is finished. The cuff is done on the second one.
A little bit of knitting has been done on the hat that’s part of The Loopy Ewe Second Quarter Challenge.
How’s the pooling challenge working for you? Can’t wait to see them all on June 1. Don’t forget that even if your yarn didn’t pool, so long as you tried, got a picture of your yarn with a March calendar posted, and get the finished socks posted on June 1, you’re eligible for the gift certificates from The Loopy Ewe (purchased by me!).

i have one sock just needing the toes closed. the yarn pooled amazingly!!!! i think these just might be the winning socks but i got tired of the colors so started a new pair. these socks are NOT pooling at all. they are doing just what the yarn was designed to do–self stripe. they are gorgeous!!!!remind me of all sorts of sherbet and sorbet…….
will definitely get pictures and links done soon–especially of the properly pooling one……better hurry up and make that two right?

Not only did my yarn not pool, I really didn’t like the way they looked at all! It didn’t self-stripe, it didn’t pool, it just was kind of blotchy-looking. I tried three different sock patterns, and I wasn’t happy with any of them. Oh, well, I have lots of yarn and started on another pair. Someday I’ll go back to the original yarn, but right now, I can hardly stand to look at it!

I’ve not made much progress on my socks. All the walking I’ve been doing with the dog has had me falling asleep in my chair after dinner. What a light-weight! ;D I’ll tone down the walking a bit this next week and try to do better.
