It seems that every Sunday I’m frantically sewing . . trying to get something added to the design wall for Monday. My new motto is “Why Finish Something When I Can Start Something New?”
There are blocks on there for the Christmas Town Sampler, for Nicole’s Sofa Quilt and new nine patches for a baby quilt. I’m going to sew a lot this week . . really!

I find it super frustrating that we as quilters are expected to finish things and that little shirtless men don’t come with our expensive sewing machines to do it for us. I mean – don’t you think that’s the least Bernina could do?? Geesh!! That said – I’m sure you’ll get both projects done. You’re off to a great start. I find your design wall Mondays are the best tool for me being productive – you gotta get something done to post on Mondays!!

I agree with Nina-Marie, wanting to have something to post for Monday does help with the motivation on Sunday afternoon.

I plan on having my husband build me a design wal later this fall when he isn’t so busy at work. I just got my sewing room built last winter and with these sights I find so much more I can add to it. Thanks and have fun sewing.

I have been resisting starting something New. I have had “Start-itus” too often. What enablers we quilters are. UFO #3 is on my wall. One more day to get it to flimsy- MAYBE??

I like the motto, it sounds like it works around here. Me being a capricorn, always wants to see what is on the other side of the hill. I get bored easily, and EQ7 does not help. I have several quilts going at all times and of course want to make the ones that I have dreamed up. What keeps me under control is the fact that I only have two design boards. One I only put one quilt on. How many quilts can the other one hold – at the moment it has five? I take batting and put between the quilts and just keep adding. I am determined to get at least two of those quilts finished this year. 🙂

Oh yeah I am all over that!

The attraction of starting something new seems to be an ongoing theme with every hobby! Lucky are we to have so much to choose from, right? Love the tree block for the Christmas quilt. Glad you’re getting back to your sewing machine after all the heat!

I love the blocks but the trees are so cute. I think I need to make some of them. How adorable.
